Fo for the past 2 days I have blown through 150mg of Etizolam in two days. at this point 1mg now takes 10mg to get the same effect.

So I have decided to take a tolerance break

1) How long so withdraws take? and how bad are they?
2) For tolerance, how long will it take for 1mg to go back to feeling like 1 mg?

Thanks

You can expect a nasty kind of rebound effect from a binge like that. Panicky feelings, general malaise, depression.

A binge of that magnitude will probably fuck your brain for a good seven days, during which time you might experience feelings of being not real (depersonalisation), mood swings, trouble sleeping, anxiety, depression. It'll be nasty, most likely.

Even though it was only a couple of days, that amount is HUGE so you can expect some nasty pay back for it.

As for tolerance.... who knows? When you jack the bar up like one hundred times higher than a normal dose, you can expect to be waiting a long time before you get anything much out of smaller amounts. It's possible that you'll never feel 1mg the same way you did the first time, even after years have passed.

Bingeing on benzos like that is really, really bad for you. I am not judging you personally. I am telling you this from first hand experience. I've done the exact same thing - 100mg of etiz in two days. It knocked me around for days afterwards. I experienced auditory hallucinations for days. And not that it helps, but I can't deny that it was stupid of us to do such a thing.

Now we can "enjoy" the aftermath.

I've never heard of people taking such high doses. I''ve had experience with benzo rebound before; in booze detox I was given massive doses of librium (starting at 21 pills a day), and even though I tapered 20% per day, I felt extremely anxious and shaky for 2 weeks.

I'm also taking etizolam now; I'm cycling it with phenibut to avoid becoming addicted to phenibut. (It's a big problem for me). My plan is to use phenibut for four days, followed by 4-5 days of etiz. I'll take 6-8mgs of etiz, that's my ceiling. Every time my phenibut cycle comes around, I'll use slightly less each time; the same goes for etizolam-I'll reduce by 0.5 mg. Does it sound like I could run into difficulties doing this?

I know this is kinda off-topic. Sorry about that.

I will be able to taper down starting monday so that should help. And I mean there must be a time frame for how long tolernce lasts. With opiates, you can binge or whatever but within a month or two that tolerance is gone. Benzos in that respect are not so different from opiates (and I have known many people who binges on opiates, withdraw, and after 2 moths or so they are back with not tolerance what so ever.

^ Body chemistry changes. What is now, will not be then.

Besides that - ~Addiction will be a big challenge.

I do not think addiction will be much of an issue. I use maybe one every to months on a weekend mainly to come-down from psychedelics (4mg or so) and smooth out MXE (4mg). This weekend was an exception because I just got a new shipment in and well... yeah.

What I am really looking for is how long my tolerance will take to go back to 0. I will be able to taper off starting monday and I have some kava to help. I will also be going to get some phenibut tomorrow to help combat withdraws as well.

Phenibut's great, but using it too often can cause dependence. Tolerance is also built rapidly; I started with 3 grams 3 days a week; two months down the line, I take 9 grams a day. I'm sure it will help with benzo WD, but if I were you I'd cycle it with kava; I wouldn't use it more than 2 days in a row. It takes 4 hours to kick in btw, and you only need to dose once as the effects last pretty much forever.

Also, I believe valerian has some gaba activity. This could be bollocks, but somebody on erowid said that taking pure, reagent-grade gaba sublingualy helps more of it pass the bbb. Apparently this can enhance the effects of gaba-ergenic drugs; if it works, it could make tapering benzos easier. Another drug of note is picamillon, it's similar to phenibut but kicks in far more rapidly.

Does anybody know how many days I'd have to use etizolam to get a true physical dependence? The current logic with true benzos is 2-4 weeks, I believe, but it could be different with RCs such as etiz. For "research chemicals" there sure as hell isn't a lot of research available for these drugs....

Thanks for all the advice on tapering down guys- will do. I don't even know if I would go through withdraws since I was only using for 2 days, but it is just my tolerance skyrocket in those two days. Still my main question is how long of a tolerance break do I need to completely get rid of the tolerance? My guess is no longer than a week or two since it went up so fast.... I dunno. If I could just get a straight forward answer about it, that would be terrific.

^It's hard to give a straightforward answer, because once your system has been exposed to very large doses of something, it won't process them as a novelty anymore.

Even though it was a short but intense binge, I don't think you'll get much of anything out of 1mg again, even after waiting for months.

I could be wrong of course. Just my experience. I used to smoke a lot of very potent weed. Then I quit and didn't smoke for three years. The next time I tried some, I sure was stoned but it was NOT the same as it used to be and it has never been the same.

Same goes for other substances. A year long break from opiates lowered my tolerance, but I never went back to zero.

IME, benzos are even more extreme is this: there's a concept called "kindling" which can apply to benzos which states that each time you abuse them, the withdrawals get worse - even if you leave large gaps between sessions.

What have others experienced?

The thing is that I have binged like this before. New shipment of pills, take 4 or 5 and then wake up with the whole bag of 120 gone. My tolerance was high right afterward but no withdraws and 2 weeks later my tolerance was back to normal. I am just not sure if that will be the case here since before it was <1 day binge where as this time it was 2-3. I have done the same with Temazepam, Ativan, and Xanax (back in the day when I truly was addicted to benzos- I used to have crippling insomnia) before with the same results. Maybe I am just being paranoid and my body just react different to benzos than most people. Despite all this, I have never experience benzo withdraw in my life even after heavily using temazepam for a month or two with a quick 3 day taper at the end.

^wow, you're extremely lucky and definitely the exception to the rule, I'd say.

It's been said so many times before, but it can't be said enough: Everyone reacts differently to substances, and thus the best anyone can do is read up on what they want to take (or are taking) and then make their own choice.

(This is just general advice to anyone)

Read a variety of sources: forums about recreational drug taking, medical journals, medical help websites, forums about non-recreational medication use, etc.

Read up lots of different viewpoints, and then take what you know about yourself and make your decision and take responsibility for it.

Or.... the safest option (and least realistic): Just don't take any drugs8(

I think I am going to just try some etizolam late this week. I have 300mg coming in Thursday ish and some good quality MXE coming in Thursday that I will need the etizolam to smooth out ( I LOVE mxe but it makes my blood pressure and pulse skyrocket so I need a benzo to keep that in check) plus it takes off the stimulant edge of the MXE which just allows me to relax and enjoy the ride. In the mean time I will do a slow taper starting Tuesday when my 150mg batch of etizolam just to make sure I don;t get withdraws.....

On another note where can I buy phenibut or picamilion? I tried CVS and Rite-Aid, Amazon doesn't sell it.... And which is a better "benzo replacement" phenibut of picamilon

For a substitute? Phenibut: the effects last far longer, so you'd only dose once. With picamilon, you'd be dosing roughly every 3 hours. It's sold by some nootropic vendors, and some bodybuilding stores. If you're in the UK, I'll pm you some reliable vendors. If you buy phenibut, never ever buy the pills! The mark-up is almost 100% You want to buy the pure powder. The real stuff is kinda crystalline and has a very sour taste. Some vendors are putting out impure phenibut with a different consistency.

Phenibut is addictive, and tolerance builds rapidly; if I were you, I'd take it 2 days, no more than 3 at a time. For those other days, you could go straight, or take kava. Personally, I use etizolam on my "off" days; my goal is to gradually wean myself from gaba-ergenics altogether
