Can etizolam be taken orally with good effect, or does it need to be taken sublingually? Most benzos I've tried, I can either just swallow or let dissolve under my tongue. The only diff I notice is faster onset sublingually. But, since etizolam is often prepared in such a way that it seems designed for sublingual use, I'm wondering if it would be a waste to just swallow some.

It'll still work oral, just slower onset as you mentioned. Most benzos have pretty good oral BA, and I don't think etizolam is different

That what I figured as well, but you never know how profoundly a simple alteration in an organic molecule can impact its interaction with a biological system. Thanks for the input nAON. I think etiz tastes good, so I don't mind taking is sublingually. But I would still like to know, lol. Does anyone know of any studies, or at least some anecdotal evidence?

You can take it both orally and sublingually to equally good and relatively equal effect. The oral bioavailability of etizolam is 93%.
