Ethylphenidate Formation

Quick question: Would the formation of ethyphenidate be missed by the insufflation of ritalin; does ethylphenidate formation require the oral administration of both the methylphenidate and alcohol (and as such, exposure to first pass metabolism) for the process of hepatic transesterification to occur?

Snorting will still lead to formation of ethylphenidate in the liver when you are drinking. You snort cocaine, and that combines with alcohol to form cocaethylene doesn't it?

Make sure you have some alcohol in you before using the methylphenidate.
