Ether - Experienced - Fun and Ego Death

I just posted a disclaimer on top of the trip report. This shit is stupid, not to mention dangerous. I'm not gonna close the thread, though. I close enough threads in PD every day... 8)

Just like yummy said, this was the common method of obtaining ether as high school kids in NYC; never really questioned it.

And yes there is diethyl ether in starting fluid, stirfry.

I think they were sniffing ethylene (ethyl) chloride, an anesthetic. I could be wrong though....
 
I think reading this thread is what inspired me to try ether. I researched it and learned enough not to use starter fluid b/c it contains highly toxic petrolium ether.
So, I posted a trip report with anhydrous diethyl ether not long ago. I've never huffed petrolium ether, but from your description, petrol ether looks like a much more intense and deranged trip. For me, diethyl was more mellow, like nitrous or chloroform. Except for the hangover and the awful smell.

It sucks so much, many times when I'm piss wasted I'll huff starter fluid. The tastes stays in your mouth for like 3 days. My brain is so messed.
