Do any of you take Ephidrine. And if so how much. I just bought some at the GNC. Pretty good shit.
I welcome any suggestions, Warnings, dosage info, or comments of this drug.
Most importantly I am curious if YOU find it addictive or not (the upper case is intended to emphasis that I don't care about wether or not its 'classified' as addictive or not, I'm interested if from personal experience you find it so.)
On a last note...I understand that Ephidrine is also prescription. I bought the over the counter version called Ephidrine HCl. Any info on this is also greatly appreciated.

hmmmm.....
it IS prescription and you CAN'T buy real Ephederine HCL at GNC. ANY GNC. i've know-lossed every bottle of dymetadrine 25 (the last REAL ephederine hcl product gnc carried) about 2yrs ago.
you probably just got Ephedera or Ma Huang, the herbal form.
if the bottle says "ephidirne"(or however you spelled it) then it's not ephederine.

dear Saturn,
I appreciate your skepticism. I live in Toronto. I bought a bottle of pills with the company name 'interactive'. The marking on the bottle clearly states Ephedrine Hydrochloride -- Nasal Decongestent.
The dosage on the back says 1/2 a cap every eight hours. I bought the bottle today at Supplements Plus located on 2622 Yonge St. for $17.05 (GNC was not carrying it anymore, sorry about that mistake, for some reason it was in my head)
If you are still skeptical....please let me know.

you can buy pure ephedrine legally in canada, with no other medical ingredients. i have seen 25mg, 30mg, and until recently 100mg capsules were available if you knew the right people.
as far as addictiveness...it depends on what you are using them for. if you use them to stay up and study or work, then you may become dependant on them to function in those settings. if you are just using it to wake you up once and a while, you shouldn't have too much to worry about. i have never found the drug to be all that addictive, but i have never really been addicted to anything, not really my personallity type.
there are a few physical effects that are not all that good. ephedrine is hard on your heart, especially when taken in high dosages and with regualar frequency. i try to limit my use to once a week (during midterm/finals weeks) when i really need it to give me an extra boost (ie. studying for my last final, after having already writen 4). it also dehydrates you, and increases your metabolism. combining it with caffine potentiates the effects of both drugs (they are synergistic).
hope that helped.
