I'm about to hit 72 hours off Epehdrine, and I feel like garbage. To think: Of all the drugs I've been addicted to, this has been the hardest to kick. It doesn't help that I'm a truck driver. Thankfully, I took some time off work, so I can kick it. A couple of more days, and I should be good to go........but DAMN. Who would think this drug could have such devastating effects. Doesn't help that I was taking 200-400mg/day no problem. HAHA. I would routinely gulp back 100mg at a time. Talk about jittery! Now I feel like a zombie. No motivation, just wanna' lay in bed all day. Thankfully, I can do so.

Your brain needs to recover. Does it feel like the next day after a heavy/dirty acid trip?

I would compare it to the feeling after a good MDMA roll. You just feel......vacant. Somehow though, I got a huge surge of energy, and went on a 3.5 mile hike. I've always felt working off the wd's is helpful. I checked my blood pressure at a pharmacy. 131/80 with a resting pulse of 85. This after walking 1.75 miles. Good to see my blood pressure is returning to normal. When I take ephedrine it can stay as high as 145/95, which obviously is not good. It seems like I have to work a lot harder during my workouts psychologically without the ephedrine, but when I don't take it, it feels like I expend A LOT less energy during them. I also don't overheat/sweat nearly as much. It's gonna' be hard to keep the weight off, though. :(

I'm already up to 221lbs from 219lbs. That sucks, but the health benefits surely outweigh the negatives.

Well, I'm starting to feel more an more back to normal. Hungry as sin, and nuerotic as usual. Ephedrine is strange: It motivates me, surpresses my appeitie, makes me sharp, and keeps my depression at bay. I act much more "normal" on it.

When I'm not on it it though, I feel like I do right now: Like I need to be sent to the psych ward. I can't concentrate for the life of me, and I feel insanely hyper. I'm really starting to think I have ADD/ADHD. But what to do?

I can't keep taking stimulants for it. With all the cocaine, alcohol, tobacco, MDMA, ephedrine, etc........I'll end up having a heart attack at some point.

Ah well...... at least I now know that I can still make it three days without ephedrine. I'm gonna' try and keep it up, but it's gonna' be difficult. It's hard when you can obtain your DOC for $7, and you can make that last three days. I know I'll use ephedrine again. I'm just going to put it off for as long as possible.

The more time you give your mind and body to recovery the better. Do what you can, it isnt a total sum game.

I hear ya'. It just baffles me that I could drop everything else so easily, but.........ephedrine of all things is giving me such a hard time.

100 mg daily is prescription max for congestion.

400 is not that high.

You should be good in a week or 2.

Ephedrine is mild, aside from heartbeat issues in susceptible people, not that much of an issue.

Glad you feel good.

Funny the difference an oxygen here or there makes. Lolz

Thank you for the support. There's one other thing I forgot to mention: Ephedrine also helps me a lot with my allergies/asthma. 400mgs isn't a huge does, but on bad days when I was driving truck, I'd be popping upwards of 1g/day!

I rationalized it by saying to myself: "Well, I've done 1g of coke many times. It's not like 1g of meth, so I guess I'll be okay." HAHA!

This my friends is what the rehab folks call an "addict's mentality". A few is good, so more will always be better. You can just imagine some of the trainwrecks I've had drinking alcohol with that mentality. :D

Well, I caved about bought some ephedrine. I went four full days without it. I took some, and went on a six mile hike. Easiest six mile walk in my life. :D
