I had a few questions about making Ephedra tea. I have 1/4 oz Ephedra powder.

1. Do I need to boil it? Can I just put it in water and drink the powder without heating it and get effects?
2. If I boil it do I strain out the powder? Should I drink the powder or just the water? Does it matter?

I am going to try 1-2 level teaspoons since I have no scale, that's a sure safe way to test how strong it is and not OD. I was wondering though, if it is too weak of a dose is it worth redosing? Or should I wait till another day.

Thanks in advance! =)

There isn't any need to boil, so long as you consume the powder.

An important distinction--do you have ephedra herb, or is the powder a concentrated extract?

I ask because the difference in dosing is huge - typically you'd need 10 grams of raw ephedra sinica to make 2 cups of tea, whereas you only need 1/4-1/2 tsp of 8% ephedra extract to make a serving.

If you don't know for sure, start really low to be safe. Others may have more experience with this specific type of powder.

Since this is basically a dosing question, I'm going to move this over to Basic Drug Discussion.
