"Welfare fraud" is literally the smallest drop in the bucket compared to other massive waste.
Also most people that disrespect workers that earn minimum wage usually don't have the balls to do the work themselves. Probably crack under the pressure one day working at mcdonalds or comparable.

Huh so if minimum wage jobs are so much harder and obviously pay less you would think it would be a no brainer for people to get a higher paying skilled job since you know it’s easier and everything. Sounds like something someone would say to justify there position even though it’s obviously not true

And now they don't even pay for some work, just because a person wants to get experience they can't get paid? it's bs. When I was 17 the only jobs that would hire paid like 4 quid an hour which is like 6 dollars. 'We're doing you a favor'
You truly think all those McDonalds employees got there after failing their CEO position? I’d estimate most all minimum wage workers have never held a higher paying position in their life.

Not everyone has the connections to get hired at higher paying jobs. Someones gotta make you your greasy cheeseburgers, you gonna tell them you don't respect their employment choice next time you're in the drive thru? Employers discriminate against felons, people with tattoos, people of a certain race, etc. all the time.
The fact is that the minimum wage being so low is causing our economy to have a low ass bottom and it's fucking up the working class.
Very few employers even pay minimum wage. Its so low that industries have literally moved past it.

The reason why the top 1% should pay the majority of the tax is that, for the most part, their wealth is constructed out of enabling government regulations. This happens in all countries and it is an absolute myth that America is a uniquely free market economy. Pick me a billionaire who did not inherit their wealth and I’ll find you plenty of evidence that they got that rich through finding loopholes in legislation, through succeeding in having special conditions inserted into legislation, or benefiting from government contracts or basically free-riding on developments or infrastructure originally developed or paid for by the government.

+ why do you have to spend years working your ass off for a degree just for a small chance to get a decent wage that will make you scrape by when you're in your 30s

There is absolutely no one paying below minimum wage... which is why it’s called minimum wage. And I didn’t say the top 1% shouldn’t pay the most but when I heard those numbers I was surprised and I would say they’re definitely paying there share. People make it sound like the rich pay no taxes when that’s not the case. I live in an expensive city where 200k a years a decent living, for me to make 200k I practically have to make 400k. I paid like 70k last year on my 230k which is criminal. The middle class already pays way to much and I personally think the rich do to.

All people that "pulled themselves up by their boot straps" rely on the sum total of mankinds innovations to get where they are. And every 1 percenter relies on low wage workers to do work for them.
And there’s no shortage of people to do those jobs since they require zero skill and have little responsibility. ‘Relies on the sum total of mankind’s innovations’.. wtf does that have to do with anything we all rely on technology we haven’t created. Quit trying to sound smart and just get your point across. Simple economics if there’s a lot of people that can do what you do your demand will be low

Apprenticeships, Internships and most of them target young people because they know they're desperate. lets say I was working for $6/h just because I was under 18, I would have to work for 30 hours a week just to buy myself some food to get me through the next week, leaving me with no money for other stuff like clothes and candy.
What trades pay $6 an hour? I know my union pays 1st year guys $21 plus benifits. And quit sounding like a victim. They target young guys because they need people to work. Those guys came up the same route as the guys they’re hiring so they’re not praying on anyone. Election hire young people they think can learn the trade to replace them. Are company pays illegals way over minimum wage because they can’t find amaricans to show up every day and actually work. Illegals... people they don’t even have to pay minimum wage because they’re desperate for people that will actually work

Listen I know people who work in trade and they bust their ass off, it seeps into their personal life, they sleep all day and barely have enough time for their family, I even know one who only talks about nuts and bolts all the time, it ain't right. That $6/h thing, here in UK you get paid 4 pounds an hour if you're under 18, then they bump it up to about 6-7, you'll only start getting the full wage when you turn 21, luckily I knew someone and they were able to help me get a 8/h job which is double compared to what I would have earned.

I was an addict and it’s an extremely selfish and childish disease.
