Enlightenment is so simple we all refuse every waking second to accept it.

Unfortunately, the meaning of enlightenment is lost to me.

I think I have experienced some sort of realisation when I was tripping hard on some DMT and had some other psychedelics in the mix.

It was a peaceful moment, a good break from reality.

Unfortunately it seems it was just the drugs and humans have a nature too prone to being patronising and selfish to live and let live.

The illusion that people experienced in psychedelics and have self proclaimed intelligence also have open mindedness for others is false. Its sad to see, maybe we should have stuck to ecstacy.
Consciousness is already free it was never bound its already illumined Enlightenment itself is something that does not even exist. It is already is. but we can self-realize and become aware of this very fact. Our inner journey only has one step the one we take right now. tap into the present moment and just be.

There is a truth that is non-conceptual, but you have to be willing to release concepts to see it.

It actually requires you to do nothing to get it.

Then you see that nobody is trying to strong arm anyone into an idea, it's just basic core reality. We're all tied into it. You don't need a guru or monolithic religious organization to define it for you. There is no middle man. It's instant access and it's all you.

In a word, it's divine, because it has a resonance... it feels like love, coming home, the ultimate ground. It's better than anything the external world could give you, or any concept. It's you, it's me, it's everything in the world of appearances. There is nothing greater than it because it is the interconnection of all things. It is infinite and all encompassing, and you're also it, while still being you.

If that's not divine then I don't know what is.
I would hesitate to say another illusion. Sounds like one. You have a concept of it whether you can verbalise or intellectualise it or not. And it generates a thought that generate an emotion in you. None of that is real.

I genuinely don’t feel strong armed and I genuinely for 20 years have never “tried to” get it. It just... is, for me. Maybe you have a different experience. Maybe my experience in life has tainted me to not feel that. Either way.

Most of the western world are closed minded brainwashed into mass consumer ship of material goods. Something so simple seems to just go over most peoples head. Don't try project your nihilism onto me i love the world and found deep meaning within the self.

I wonder, do you think you can enlighten someone through messages on a forum.. like this one?
I can explain what enlightenment is, if you would like. And we can discuss a blueprint for achieving it. If you are still there to continue the conversation. I don't want to waste fun eternal knowledge on the wind. lol

This is not the blueprint I spoke of. It is a diagram. Enlightenment is a physical phenomenon. The triangle in the middle in the very familiar image above is a prism. The mind must be cleared like a prism to achieve enlightenment. Once the mind and body have been totally cleared, if you can achieve a connection with the divine and allow the light to channel through your pineal gland, you will be able to see all the "colors" of life. The reason this requires intense meditation is because it is a very mentally demanding state (the Buddha supposedly meditated under a tree for 20 years before becoming enlightened). The one time I achieved enlightenment, I felt like it was burning out my neurons. I had to give it up and let it go. I will be able to achieve that state on a more permanent basis later, but I will have to stop drinking coca-cola. :(

One important thing to note. Most drugs will not lead you to enlightenment. In fact, the presence of most drugs in the brain will preclude the possibility of achieving enlightenment. The only exception are true psychedelics, and by true, I mean not RC's. Cannabis can sometimes fall under this category. But instant gratification is usually short-lived. Pure meditation would lead to longer-lasting results

Well...what you received is certainly some level of "enlightenment." All the psychedelic drugs have done is show you the truth. Now it is your responsibility to work on the problems you see in you, and the responsibility of your friends to do the same for themselves. And if they can't grow at your pace, then perhaps sometimes, you have to stop talking to them for a while. It's a good thing you didn't stick to ecstasy. Because then it would have taken you longer to see the truth. Who knows how much longer (with all the dirty "X" going around these days also)

Buddha spent 40 days of non stop mediation under a tree before awakening. By that time he had only spent a couple years on his journey.

Sounds much more realistic than what I heard, and makes a lot more sense. I guess a far-reaching story like that one will be told many different ways in different places, just like the bible

Edit: I remember thinking maybe he meditated under the tree on and off in practice for 20 years before achieving the state
