energy zapped from 2c-x's...advice?

as it has been summer and I had a vacation, I have been having quite a few experiences with PD's. many of which have been 2c-x's...

But now I have to get back to work, and have tons of pressure to get the work done, and my body is so zapped of energy that it is hard to resist throwing in a bit of 2c-something to feel awake.(the sort of exhaustion where you keep falling back into bad every ten minutes)

so...I am wondering what to do...anyone else been in this position?

it is kind of a drag when you know a little 2c-x will give your body enough energy for the day but you will end up paying the next.

coffee doesnt do it...

and getting enough sleep to feel rested and alert would take a few days which I dont have

and i fear aderall would only worsen the problem

As hard as it sounds, try to use as little drugs as possible if you want to resume a normal awake/asleep pattern. I swear by sleep (On average 8-10 hours per night), but I hate being sleepy in the morning or throughout the day.

If anything, I'd think about getting good sleep first, before trying to get energy throughout the day, the first will fix the latter.
 
You might want to research some adaptogens to help your body recover from the stress of skipping so much sleep, and of processing these chemicals. Ones I would suggest you start reading about that may be useful to you are ginseng, holy basil, ashawaganda or reishi mushroom. Ideally you want to work with the freshest material possible, so I encourage growing/foraging once you know what you are doing. The fresher the material the powerful the effect in my experience.

Otherwise, just catch up on your sleep and drink lots of water.

Another alternative might be to try working with some stimulants in the short term if you can't catch up on sleep, but that's not going to solve your issue for long and might drive you into psychosis if you're not careful.

One last suggestion, look for and try the Gateway Hemisync series meditation cds. I always leave a session with that feeling amazingly refreshed (that is if I don't fall asleep during it lol)

i will look into the adaptogens for sure and the hemisync

i know lack of water is a concern as lots of rc's dehydrate you
 
i must say i am wary of stimulants as 2c's seem to take a lot less out of me mentally and physically than even a 30mg aderall.


my main fear with any of these things is that eventually they will hurt my health.

if i cant find fresh ginseng root is the extract liquid any good?

Your best bet, like others have already stated is to drink a lot of water and get plenty of sleep. If it's possible, even a 90min nap in the middle of the day can do wonders for a quick recovery.

Another often overlooked remedy is exercise. Take some time to exercise, preferably in the morning. It really helps to boost your energy level naturally.
 
read about l-tyrosine & 5-htp, maybe that ´ll be good for you. look for the contraindications, too!
