im going to start a 7+ day water fast starting tomorrow. and there is a lot of conflicting opinions on whether its worthwhile to do an enema once every 2/3 days whilst water fasting.

i have read that people getting back pain and headaches, can be because there is a build up of toxins, which can be released by doing an enema.

and then other people will say fasting is about doing nothing, just let nature take its course, there is no added benefit of enemas. :?

are there any experienced fasters here who could help me understand, if its worthwhile buying an enema kit for a fast thats going to be under 14 days.

note: longer fasts require that your body has been through smaller fasts before, and that you have done adequate research to understand how to correctly transition in and out of the fast.

note2: im not really looking to start a debate on fasting, i didn't post this in the megathread because i figured more people would see this, and it would be great if i could get a response to this.

after doing some more reading on SWF, i think its probably best for me to do neither SWF nor buy an enema kit.

apparently salt during a water fast could be absorbed into the body waking up the digestive system, people seem to think its unnecessary and removes all the flora from the gut.
although i think some ayurvedic practitioners might support SWF before starting a fast.

my body seems to acclimatise to no food pretty well so it may be that i don't really need to do any extraneous digestive flushing after all.

i read a couple of SWF threads on curezone water fasting section and that seems to be the consensus among some seemingly intelligent/experienced people.

You've got to be kidding, right? You should read a book. Talk to a doctor. Stop blindly swallowing any piece of dangerous woo-woo horseshit you read on the internet :|
