always friendly and
seeming to possess
a sweet temperament
with many of the 'qualities'


time goes on
you decide its time to move on
to find fresh blood
because your friends
have already disinterest you
you've sucked them dry
out of their emotional usefulness
time to move on
hmmm nothing more delicious
than unsuspecting new victims

people realise too late what you are
a thing that feeds on the living soul
sucking on the essence of one's life
then tossing aside the victim
when you're finished
you're a master of disguise
hiding behind the cover of a helpless being
but one who plots and schemes

what can be done?
to deal with a leech?
a thing that feeds on the goodwill of people
a thing that bites the hand that feeds it?
what can be done with the emotional vampire?

Holy Crap!

This is a very starkly depicted poem, and a very nicely worded one at that. I have to say, I know a fair few people who could be described as such, and have been called one myself once before. A very interesting 'tribute' to those people. Thanks for posting it.
