I go to a mental health facility every 3 months. It has inpatient and outpatient, so it's like a clinic, pharmacy and doctor's office in one. I had a case worker but she just switched positions so I don't have one right now. I was supposed to have a phone appointment this morning but my regular psychiatrist is on maternity leave till January. When I called the main office, they said they didn't see it listed and forwarded me to a nurses' voicemail so I left a message assuming she's the one who wrote my last script that was to hold me over till this appointment; as my psychiatrist had gone into labor by my last appointment

I called my old case worker but didn't get an answer or leave a message. I don't know, I'm thinking I might have to go to the hospital over here and see if I can get a script from a doctor there. I don't know how that works, and then I worry that I can't get my appointments back in order to go see the psychiatrist in January since all the dates have to be set ahead of time. This is a nightmare

I guess I'll update this thread as things unfold. I have a bad feeling that nobody will get back to me. I have enough medicine till Friday so if all else fails I'll be going in to see what they can do for me

Update: I texted my old case worker. If I don't get a response I won't have anything left to do. A case worker makes appointments and keeps track of physicals and stuff. Nothing I can do

Update #2: My old physician said a person called my phone number and repeated it back to me, but that wasn't my phone number. So she forwarded me to a person in the clinic who said she could reschedule me for Dec 2 at 2pm. I asked if there was anything sooner since I'm almost out of medicine. She recommended that I come in to the main office at 8am and tell them I need a refill

I'm about to give up on this endeavor

I ended up having to go down there when they opened at 8am. It looks like they have a lot of new staff and multiple people being scheduled on the same day and at the same time. I'm glad it wasn't very busy at least. So I got enough medicine for this month and then I go back in on the 2nd of December and I'm guessing that I'll schedule my regular appointment with my psychiatrist since she's supposed to return from maternity leave in January; which is good because she gives me three months worth of medication

I'm a bit nervous because I was overdo for a physical so I did it but normally I don't take my lithium the morning of since I guess it messes with the blood test (lithium levels), but I don't know much about it. I did take it before the test though. Does it make much of a difference? I only take 900mg/day. Thanks if anyone knows about that. It seems like I should be fine

Today was my first (phone) appointment with my psychiatrist in over a year. Then when I had to call the reception desk to make a follow up appointment, the lady said my file said discharged which she said meant that she couldn't do anything with it so she connected me to her supervisor and I had to leave a voicemail. Of course nobody has called me back so I'll probably have to go over there tomorrow and sort these people out again

I'm tired of this

EDIT: Good news. After I went into two different buildings and talking to the supervisor, they finally set me up with a new case worker. I don't know why they had to start me over in the system as if I were a new patient and I have to go over paperwork on the phone tomorrow but at least that's better than going in again to see what happens, waiting for hours on end. It's kind of depressing dealing with the government and if I didn't think the medicine I'm on was helping I wouldn't go back

Hopefully this helps somebody
