Getting to the point ...
Hello, everyone. We started slimming down the site earlier in the year for a planned upgrade, but progress stalled awhile back. We're picking it back up again, and this forum is now on the clock. We've created the PENDING DELETION folder atop the forum and ask that you give a quick read of the threads in there to see if any are really still worth keeping. By the date shown for Pen Del, all threads in there will be deleted from the database. Between now and then, look over the threads, and use the REPORT function to flag any you think the mods should save by moving to the local Archive folder.

This first round is fairly small, but it's important because it is all the content that was in the archive up to now. By going thru that first, we can better calibrate ourselves for reviewing the threads in the forum proper.

So, you have a little over a week to help us determine what, if anything, currently in Pen Del needs to be saved, then it's wiped out. At that point, I'll reload the Pen Del with another round of threads for review. Rinse and repeat until we're done. M'kay?

This exercise needs the help of anyone with the time, and an interest in preserving truly good content from this forum. Your help is wanted and needed. When you use the Report Post (RP) function, you are welcome to suggest moving to BoBL if it deserves such consideration by the mods, or just REPORT it for saving to the local archive. Thank you.

I think we are done with the prune. I just went through the prune folder and moved all the threads that I thought should be in the archive.

I'd like to thank TLB, marsmellow and Staroceanhouse for helping us out!

Good deal, gang. I've emptied the Pen Del, and reloaded with what would be the final push for EMD. This brings us up to date with 2011. Please, take the next ~9 days to go thru the fresh batch in Pen Del and REPORT anything worth saving.
