Elon Musk officially buys Twitter, DONE DEAL !

A benevolent dictator is still a dictator. It's sad to watch the western world cycle through this shit again. Does nobody realize that what we're looking at is the very reason why our forefathers tried to create democratic nations with secular constitutional laws? It's so that nobody owns "all the things", that one small group can't wield ALL the power.

We have been so fucking brainwashed to accept corporate power that people are cheering for one billionaire to seize power from another. You know this is essentially what monarchy looked like for thousands of years, right???

We are heading rapid back into an aristocratic oligarchy and all people can do is cheer for regaining some of their petty freedoms. If y'all had brains you wouldn't even use fucking social media. The whole thing is designed for you to self-report on your life so they can watch you and make a buck in the mean time. You think Elon Musk is going to be some great virtuous savior? lolololol

We're fucked. 100%. There's no reversing it now. I'm just gonna watch it burn and hope that when it's my turn to kick the bucket it's a quick death.

This is pretty much absolute and total bullshit.
Austria especially has a strong far-right and is very divided,
especially when everyone got scared that the FPÖ might get into power.

Very powerful far-right. You do not want to be in Austria right now.

Switzerland always had problems, especially with people who do not enjoy the neutral status of their country.
and since Covid the country is stronger divided than ever..

I would really refrain myself from saying things about countries(or anything) I know nothing about.
I have a very practical rule of thumb, which is: I don't speak about things until I have researched them thoroughly. Really helps not looking like a complete ignorant.

I often get this feeling that countries like Switzerland, or Finland, or Sweden or Austria are seen as these super amazing countries, just by being neutral or something, rly only someone who's never been there would say that. HAVE YOU EVER PAID 16€ FOR 16 CIGARETTES?!
 
Just realized Elon bought twitter, seemingly randomly, a month or two after Biden announced a plan to raise taxes on billionaires to 20%. Then started talking about how extreme the left has become.

Switzerland isn't neutral. There is no such thing as a neutral country. That's just code for "we all have our big illegal stashes there, so we all mutually agree to not rock that boat yeah? Cool". No coincidence the big institutions are headquartered there too.

Beautiful country though.
 
This was the establishments way to censor and control narratives. Them censoring the NY post was one of the most notable examples, amongst many. The establishment created a ministry of truth as a direct response to losing control of twitter. Elon is only Serving rightoids in that they won’t be censored anymore. All of these folx that run contrary to the establishment have gained tons of followers and interactions since they started trying to cover their tracks, called this before it happened. I truly don’t get how liberals can support these evil ass corporations and gov agencies.

Apparently Elon started buying up Twitter shares days after the teenager refused $5K and Elon refused the counter-offer of $50K.

Elon wouldn't notice his wallet being $500K lighter, let alone the $50K.

He’s bettering the world by turning the town square from the establishments way to control the narrative to something more open to everyone. Thats an amicable endeavor, but I know liberals see freeze peach as fascist or something.

I really don't see how replacing one billionaire manchild with another is going to actually result in any change here.

I used to really like Elon, but I've honestly lost faith in him over the past several months. Come back and tell me how open Twitter is when he bans the account tracking Elon's private jet and the teenager who created it.

Imagine judging someone on a hypothetical. The establishment not controlling it means they can’t suppress things they don’t like, you may see that working in your favour now, but I can assure it’s not. Polls strongly show the majority of independents would not have voted for Biden if they had known about the hunter laptop story that was censored.
