Musk and Co will become a kind of new species.. Trolls are part of it too. People addicted to computer games can lose the ability to differentiate between human beings and game characters. They can be extremely cruel to strangers online then switch the computer off and forget about it. Combine this with the amount of money Musk has and I can envision this "humanoid". I'm thinking Westworld now.. Or Bladerunner. I don't even know but they might look like this
Thing is if we kept Pluto a planet, we would have had to make Eris, Haumea, Ceres and Makemake planets as well. And also had to debate weather to make sedna, orcus and quaoar planets. We would have ended up with 16 planets in our solar system.
I mean Hitler was Austrian, but yeah, he still pretty much ruined it for Germany. Austrians don't get asked if they are Nazis when on vacation, on the opposite, since most people don't even know they can get through pretty unnoticed.
I'd need some data on this 'losing the ability to differentiate' - you got some papers I can read about it?

I encountered this really nasty troll recently so I googled the psychology of trolling. Most things were obvious but that was interesting. I know this guy plays a lot of games.
Argh.. I just had a look and can't find the exact term for this differentiating thing. I'll get back to you.

well since I work in therapy I'm having a hard time believing this,(disclaimer: I do believe you, but I don't know if I believe the source where you read it in the first place, sounds like lobbyist "science") that's why I'd need a paper or two to read to properly assess the situation. There's many different kinds of trolling in the first place, with the most extreme case just being destructive trolling. Other people often just have fun in a setting they cannot enjoy IRL
Take me for example, I do love trolling. That is because I'm an Autist, and I cannot "let myself out" of my shell IRL. I would never show anyone my true character, I am excellent at masking, and so I automatically do it in order to properly blend in. When I'm being me, I have often been described as a troll, although it's usually just not very funny to anyone but me, but I don't care. I like to laugh, and doing fake laughs all day is exhausting, which is something I do all day at work
Here, online, I can say what I want, without having to think about much, without having to play someone else, and I do indeed like the occasional light troll. Helps me relax a lot. I have to stay in character all day, which is pretty mind-crushing. When I get home I just wanna be me, yknow

rule of thumb: there will always be people who complain and people who support.you should visit Germany, we complain about fucking everything,
usually about the weather, although it does fucking suck.
2 months of good weather, 10 months of snow, wind and rain (at least here in the south)

My sentiments exactly. I saw something earlier along the lines of: In the US, the "far right" is a narcissistic conman who is sympathetic with Nazis and Q anon. The "far left" is an old guy from Vermont who wants healthcare for everyone.
I can't help but think, one of these things is not like the other.

You are in Germany, correct? I don't know much about German politics but I agree with you on a certain level. I think it is highly unfortunate that the US is divided into a two party system. Our democracy is literally hanging by a thread as a result.
Somewhere else, I think in the Biden: Transgender Bill thread, I mentioned the "establishment" being both Republicans and Democrats working together as capitalists and the ruling class.
For this reason, I don't even like Biden because he is a centrist or IMO a conservative democrat. People on the right call any registered democrat a radical left socialist, even Biden lol. But that is just a smear pushed by their Fox News propaganda. In reality, the only people in Washington who are actually left of the dial are the ones like Bernie Sanders, who does not accept any corporate campaign donations and really does fight for the people rather than corporate donors. He is bold enough to call himself a Democratic Socialist, as was Martin Luther King, Jr and some would argue Franklin D Roosevelt was a Social Democrat.
The "right" always likes to point out that Bernie is a millionaire but he didn't earn his millions with insider trading information on the stock market like Pelosi and so many others on both sides of the aisle. He married a wealthy woman and wrote some bestselling books. Hardly anything that would be considered exploitation of the system or of other people.

and that's a battle that always needs to be highlighted
