When i usually smoke, i just park my car in a parking lot and smoke there with the windows down. I usually smoke joints and blunts and now i begin to notice that there is that lingering smell of weed in the car and though i don't care, a lot of other people who ride in my car complain a lot and well i was just wondering if any of you guys had any advice on getting rid of the smell.

the things that have been done before by me or friends are spraying fabreeze in the car or just driving with the windows down (airing out).

yep i guess my methods are fine....i guess the smell lingers because i constantly smoke in the car and well never fabreeze it or air out because it gets cold.

They sell this great stuff at most headshops called 'Orange Chronic', its really great and something about the natural citrus oils completely eliminates the smell in seconds.

Rolling a window down and turning on the floor vents on high helps most of the smoke go right out in the first place...

great ideas from all. but some frebreeze isn't gonna keep the drug dog from barking at your shit. but i'd have to say febreeze and playing freeze out should keep the novice nose unsuspicious.

Does anyone know if dogs actually would smell marijuana smoke if they were trained to smell buds? It seems to me like the smell would be considerably different...

I know people who have been picked out by a dog when they had nothing on them but had been smoking.

I wouldn't doubt this, as people who may smoke it tend to get it on their hands. Sometimes enough material transfers to something like a car door and you get a drug dog up you're ass.

Search dogs are unfamiliar with the smoke of burning marijuana and the smell of burning pot alone is not enough to get a dog to search, but aCop often knows the smell. I distinctly remember hearing this somewhere reasonably credible at the time.

^ the ladies dont care for it...lol plus if it mixes with other smells such as food its not that great...im not really scared about dogs or anything lol, its california its practically almost legal...hopefully in a few years!

Thanks for all the suggestions...my seats arnt leather so yeah the smell sticks easier...I've walked past many college campus polices smelling really dank and they dotn really care for it, so its not about the legality of it, its just some people dont like the smell.
