Electronic Cig's as a delivery system for ...

I recently quit smoking and as a method of tapering off my nicotine addiction I used electronic cig's, I found them to be quite helpful, and I started messing around with adding various vitamin drops etc. into the cartridge as a bit of experimentation

In regards to psychoactive substances however I have a few questions:

How efficient would this be and what would it apply to.
For example would it be possible to do this with 2c-E / 2c-I?

What sort of safety issues would you run into?

Am i going to be coughing for 2 hours due to lung irritation?

Etc.

In my honest opinion I think cigarette addiction is more of a psychosocial kind of addiction, nicotine play a minor role in heavy smokers, I believe its is simply the feeling of harsh vapours flowing down your throat that induces such an psychological addiction.

Tried nicotine gums and patches plurious times and they didn't really help, the only thing that kept my mind of cigarettes was a strict routine of exercise and social interaction, anything that kept my mind from experiencing boredom, indolence or need of a mind altering substance to soften my psychological discomfort.

How were the electronic cigs? I've been thinking about quitting, or at least cutting down. Would you happen to know how they are when you're rolling or tripping? (Sorry I can't really answer your question :P)

I recently attempted freebasing some 2c-e out of morbid curiosity. I imagine it would be an effective delivery method if one could keep the smoke in their lungs for more than a fraction of a second. The coughing was similar to the involuntary reaction of vomiting. Definitely don't think 2c's are meant to get in through the lungs :(

I did get slight but noticeable effects that lasted about 4hrs from basing 3-6mg. I put 8 in the pipe, but was unwilling to continue attempting after a couple inhalations.

Hmmm - I've got some eCigs, makes me wonder how vaporizing weed would work from one. Pull out the nicotine cotton/filter, and put ground up bud in there. No bud right now or I'd have to give it a try. Anybody want to test it out?

TearItDown - eCigs are a tool, they can help, but you have to really want to quit to make it work. It does give a hit of nicotine and a similar throat-hit feel like a real cig. I've switched to eCigs for a while, but went back to the real deal. Makes you really realize there is more garbage in a cigarette that you're addicted to. If you want to quit, and the patch or gum doesn't work for you (or you don't want to try those), eCigs can be helpful. And as time goes by you can `cut` your nicotine fluid to a lower and lower dose as you go to ween yourself off. (I do know people who have quit `analog` cigs using eCigs, so don't discredit them just because I haven't stuck to it!)

Google Allen Carr if you wanna quit smoking. No point replacing an addiction with a different method of ingestion, if you truly believe they give no real source of satisfaction then you don't get the whole "I need a cigarette" mentality.
Wow, you can get vaporizers for cigarettes? That's actually pretty cool, but wouldn't be the same as smoking though... Well, regarding your question, the principle that vaporizers work on, from my knowledge, is that the desired base chemical, IE nicotine or THC, vaporizes at a lower heat than the plant matter itself, so you inhale minimum smoke. So, if it was a smokable chemical, chances are you'd just waste a shitload of it by sucking it through a vaporizer. Don't have much to back that up, just my opinion since this appears to be turning into a cigarette discussion thread.

mmmm e-cigaretess i am going to get some... apparently australia banned them from sale here, because the government make so much out of tax they prob dont want aus with e-ciggys
