Ehrlich testing - extraction with IPA?

Used the search engine and couldn't find an answer to my question.

I have blotters that are supposed to be >200µg LSD. I also have an Ehrlich test kit I'd like to try out, but zero prior experience in testing with reagents.
Said blotters have ink on them, so I'll tread with caution and go with the alcohol extraction route I've read about. Would simple IPA work for this? How long do I need to let the sample soak in alcohol?

Just cut a little piece off the blotter & eldrich test it, the ink shouldn't make any more difference than the IPA.

just do this. the dissolution in alcohol will probably create just as many problems. however keep in mind that ehrlichs is one of the more sketchy reagents to use, so think of it more as a rough guideline than a definite.

I've seen procedures that involve sonicating the blotter in methanol. Methanol is much closer to water and should prove a better solvent than isopropanol.
