Nietzche
Bluelighter
Make no assertions!
And distract me from who I am
For just ten minutes, because it is so much easier
To not know
Than to have never seen
I have been to the country of primordial fear
But I avoided feeling anxious
An Hegalian discourse is too feeble to feed that nation’s population
They will always demand more sustenance
To feed their weary appetites
Because large sums of energy are consumed
In the war with anxiety
And wouldn’t you rather confront an icon?
And represent it as such?
Because it is so much easier to peer into a mirror
Than to perceive your own face
Look at you on the periphery!
Surfing the waves of homogeneity
Staying above the water
Which will surely envelop you
And digest your inequities
But those sirens are singing
And the lighthouse is warning
And you will obey both their messages
Because they are too encoded
In contingent truth for me to discern
an identity
And distract me from who I am
For just ten minutes, because it is so much easier
To not know
Than to have never seen
I have been to the country of primordial fear
But I avoided feeling anxious
An Hegalian discourse is too feeble to feed that nation’s population
They will always demand more sustenance
To feed their weary appetites
Because large sums of energy are consumed
In the war with anxiety
And wouldn’t you rather confront an icon?
And represent it as such?
Because it is so much easier to peer into a mirror
Than to perceive your own face
Look at you on the periphery!
Surfing the waves of homogeneity
Staying above the water
Which will surely envelop you
And digest your inequities
But those sirens are singing
And the lighthouse is warning
And you will obey both their messages
Because they are too encoded
In contingent truth for me to discern
an identity
