Been looking all over BL for an answer to this... does using cocaine make opiates/bupe leave your system faster. I have noticed personally my withdrawals are shortened if I burn some rocks when I'm sick. Also I can get the full effect of the dope shot as little as 8 to10 hours after doing bupe if I smoke rock in between. Idk if its just the synergy of the combination making me feelit more or what and I am thinking that the blow raising my metabolism is maybe why it seems to shorten withdrawals but ive never seen this really discussed anywhere and would like a more scientific analysis of this.

PS. Sorry if this thread is answered elsewhere I just couldn't find it I'm a BL newborn so excuse my ignorance

Thanks,

Not appreciably. The effect of general metabolic rate on catabolism of specific compounds is negligible, and classical stimulants increase general metabolic only meagerly at remotely sane doses.

ebola

^Apparently, this is another one of those things where science contradicts real life experience....I've experienced the same thing with the buprenorphine...If I use cocaine, the period of time that it would normally take for me to be able to "feel" full agonist opioids is cut down significantly...Also, if I use a moderate amount of cocaine with heroin, the withdrawal symptoms appear much sooner...A lot of opiate users believe that cocaine "burns up the opiates" in your system....It definitely does happen, why it happens I have no idea...

Stimulants, save caffeine, mitigate opioid withdrawals for many. Subjective effects are not always concurrent with the specific pharmacological effects of any given drug.

^I think you're misunderstanding what the OP is saying when they say, "shortens withdrawals"....they're talking about the withdrawals coming on sooner after using cocaine...I believe you're talking about using stimulants to treat the withdrawals symptoms, which for me, amphetamines in moderate doses help to some extent, but cocaine always makes the WDs worse...

I was saying using coke both makes WD come on faster and decreases the total duration of my WD too. Also Ebola is right although it shortens WD and makes me feel better while I'm high, the comedown makes the WD even worse and since i always use dope or bupe to help with thecomedown its a MAJOR. trigger. Also, the places I go to get coke are usually nearby or the same places I get dope so while it helps some it also throws a bunch of triggers in my face. If you're trying to ease WD and get clean I soul not recomment coke unless you've got some other downer like maybe barbies to come down. Thx for all the responses but still wondering if any BLers have a more scientific response.
