Ecstasy Pills Breaking Down To Powder

A friend acquired a pill bottle filled with blue ecstasy powder. He was informed that it was previously pills, about 10-12 pills worth, but they had broken down in the container and are now a powder. Is it normal for pills to break down like this? Would it be safe to take? Also what would be the best methods for taking them and measuring amounts?
 
Yes, this happens very easily. Pills aren't bulletproof. If they are shaken around a container enough, or grind against eachother enough times, then they can surely turn to powder.

Is it safe? Well, is any pill 'safe' to take? You'll never know until you test it. But the most I can tell you is that the ingredients aren't going to change from the pill being broken up, unless something else was added to the mixture later.

Remember that pressed pills do have binders and fillers in them, as well as MDMA or adulterants.
With the powder, you can either put it into gel caps, parachute it, or administer nasally/rectally. Use a scale if you want accurate results, but if you plan on eye-balling the dosage.. be careful. Maybe try getting ahold of some smaller size gel caps to fill, just to be on the safe side. You can always redose.
 
In terms of measuring it, you should take a scale, weigh up the total amount - and providing that they were all the same kind of pills, you could then divide the weighed amount by the total original number of pills (I'd ask whoever he acquired it from, since diving it by 10 and dividing it by 12 could yield very different results) - then presume that to be a single pill's worth. It's definitely possible - I'd be extra cautious if he doesn't know whoever he got it from very well though, just seems a little strange to me. Ensure you test it as you can't even check pillreports with just a coloured powder :)

good point. another thing to be aware of is that some dealers will crush pills, then cut the powder and sell it as "blue molly" or something.

if I have pills I am going to store what I do is put each one in one of those tiny, tiny single pill zip-lock type bags; that way if they do collapse it won't matter. you can find those little bags on-line...
 
he might have broken it up so he can cut it. it might only have been 5 pills like.

just empty out some capsules and fill them with the powder.
 
At first this sounds super sketchy. I would test material before consumption... Yes pills do break down. Good Luck. Never seen a 10 pack powdered before.
 
Who bothers with testing? Just down the whole bottle and be a man. You'll have an amazing time.
