Ecstasy and a pacemaker?

Okay so I'm new to this site and have mostly been browsing but looking for a specific answer to my question.
I have been doing ecstasy for about a year but I've never found anyone who knew if doing ecstasy(more specifically pills, not mollys) while you have a pacemaker is dangerous. One of my friend's wants to go to raves with me and try E but I wouldn't take the chance that it would somehow kill her. She keeps telling me not to worry about her and that she'll be fine, but she has never done any kinda of upper, so I'm actually really afraid of how her body, and her heart, may react.
Any help/suggestions/advice?

Agreed. All systems set to raise heartbeat only the heart will not reply. Possibly resulting in a towering high blood pressure wich is, needless to say, unkewl :)

Actually, I think the reason it raises your heartbeat is because your veins etc dilate resulting in a fall of blood pressure so your heart beats faster to keep the pressure up therefore you will prob faint if your heart can't beat fast enough

but then again, I am no biologist

Either way, bad idea.

You guys need to read up on pacemakers before answering. Unless your friend had it implanted in the 1970s and it hasn't been updated since, pace makers are 'dynamic' in that they measure body temp, O2 stats, the (albeit likely struggling) hearts natural rhythm, and a host of other factors to increase or decrease the patients heart rate as needed.

If you have a pacemaker you can't go insides giant magnets, should likely refrain from full contact sports, and that's about all the restrictions. You don't just have to sit around where walking up stairs causes you to pass out because your heart is beating too slow.

That being said taking a drug like E may require a higher BMP but the drug could mimic a situation where your heart rate doesn't need to rise and there could be problems. It's really not a great idea at all, however pacemaker technology has come a long way.

I am half with Amapola on this. I would never tell a person on a pacemaker that it is OK to take any drug, legal or otherwise, without checking with a doctor but people with are OK to exercise and do things that will raise heart rate.

The only real way to knowfor your friend to ask his doctor if his heart is healthy enough for drug use.

As an older person I would tend to agree with this. But people have pacemakers for all kinds of reasons, and some of them have less to do with the heart than with other parts of the system.

If a person with a pacemaker is intent on taking mdma, I would advise them to ensure that they are otherwise in good physical shape. Good cardio fitness, reasonable BMI, blood pressure etc. In other words spend a couple of months in the gym getting in shape before dropping.
And I would definitely recommend consulting your doctor before.

It's worth pointing out the fact that your friend is specifically intending to take MDMA in pill form... Although crystal MDMA can contain impurities, I think in general pills contain a lot more. There's a chance that whatever pill your friend takes could contain a number of different drugs instead of/including MDMA, so it's going to be even harder to accurately predict how he and his pacemaker will react.

Without knowing the reasons behind why the pacemaker was fitted and the overall fitness of the person I think its safer to just say I dont know.

When there is such an area of doubt and terrible consequenses if something bad was to happen then to err on the side of caution would be the best bet.

Like some have said above - IF your friend was going ahead with this then make sure you test your gear and avoid stims like meth/speed.

It may also be worth taking into consideration any other medication your friend may be taking etc
