Bluelighter
I was at my very first festival in Bluffton, Ohio. The whole weekend was really exciting and definitely full of firsts for me as far as indulging into the world of drugs goes. However, this particular experience happend to be my second casual encounter with a little pill known as Ecstacy.
Let me tell you, the first time I did ecstacy, which also happened to be in the same weekend as the second, it was not all that great. I spent $20 (US) and basically all I got was a pill that kind of made me feel drunk, so needless to say, after all the hype that I had heard about it, I was a little bummed about the fact that not much really happened. So this leads me to my second purchase.
The day after the bunk roll, a guy came around to our campsite and propositioned me for a purchase. I was a bit skeptical because the first pill that I bought was crap, and I didn't want to spend another $20 (US), and get ripped off.
*Side note, I know there are testing kits, but I mind you this was my first time in a place where people offer you drugs like they are candy...very expensive candy I might add*
Anyway, the guy selling them told me that the pills were really good. I had bought some pot brownies off of him earlier that day that were totally rockin so that took a little bit of the skepticle attitude away. I decided to go ahead and give it a try. This pill was a little more expensive, at $25 (US) per pill. They were Blue Mercedes, but the pill was actually green, with of course, a Mercedes symbol stamped on the top of it. I put the pill away for safe keeping until the time was right. The next night, which just happened to be my twentieth birthday, I decided that this was the appropriate time for me to sample my goods.
I dropped the pill around 9pm that night. My friend and I went wandering around the festival looking at all the stuff that was being sold at various stands that were set up all over the place. About an hour had gone by since I had dropped the pill. Within that hour, I could feel some changes occuring. I noticed that my heart rate went up and it kind of felt like my breathing was a bit more shallow than normal. While the side effects were there, they were quite mild. At times, I felt like there were waves of intoxication that ran through my body. They were very subtle, and would subside rather quickly.
It was now about 10:30pm. An hour and half after dropping the pill. I started to get a little disappointed, because I thought that I should have been able to feel the effects by this point. Bummed about the whole situation, I told my friend that I felt kind of hungry and that I was going to get something to eat. My quest for food took about five minutes round trip and I sat back down and started to take a bite of the vegetarian chili that I had just purchased. At that very moment, as the spoon was going into my mouth, I was overcome by a tidal wave of intoxication. A feeling that was unlike any other that I had felt, up to this point in my life.
I felt very light and relaxed. I kind of started to stare off into the bowl of chili sitting in front of me, and my friend was like "Dude, are you okay?" I looked up at her with eyes that felt like they could see the whole world at that moment, smiled, and told her that I felt wonderful. I felt like I was looking through the eyes of a child. Everything was bliss and there was nothing wrong in the world.
I sat on the haybail across from my friend, mindlessly rubbing my own arm, and blabbling about how much I was going to miss her when she left the next day. (She was moving to Florida to go to work at Disneyworld as soon as we got back from the festival) I felt so euphoric and happy it was quite rediculous.
After about twenty minutes of me talking her ear off, my friend decided that she wanted to go back to the campsite because she said she was not having a great time and wanted to go rest for a while. She left, and I continued to sit on my haybail, happy as a lamb. I would smile, and talk to all the people that were walking by me. I cannot even remember how many random people that walked by whom I told it was my birthday, or how many hugs that I got for that reason, but I liked it. I felt like I had all the love in the world to give, and I could appreciate everyone simply for being human.
After about 20 minutes of sitting and talking to random people walking by, I decided to move away from my haybail. I walked across the field toward some people who were playing with a glow frisbee and I asked if they would mind if I played. They were very welcoming and counted me in. Playing frisbee on a normal day is great, but while rolling in the dark, with a glow frisbee, it cannot get much better than that. I felt like I had so much control over my limbs. I did not feel at all clumbsy or uncoordinated. Everything flowed like it was on some kind of guided linear path.
After playing frisbee for a while, I still felt really good, and I ventured over to the crowd of people that were watching the band (Ekoostik Hookah) play on stage. I happened to run into a guy that was camping right behind my tent and I said hello. That simple hello turned into at least an hour to hour and a half conversation. We talked to one another like we had been friends for years. We talked about everything from drug use, to our parents divorce, as we both had that in common. It is probably one of the most fulfilling conversations with a stranger that I have ever had. During the conversation I could feel myself coming down from my extraordinary high, but I still felt great. The band stopped playing and it was time to return to camp. I found my friend that had left earliear in the evening. She told me that she had come to look for me because she thought that I might have wandered off and gotten lost, or kidnapped since I had been gone for so long.
The come-down was pretty gentle. There were no problems at all. However, by the time I had gotten back to the camp, I had pretty much come down completely, but as I was sitting around the fire the feeling of wanting more of the drug seemed to overcome me. But since there was no solution to that problem since I, a. did not have any money left, and b. there were no drugs to be had, I just went to bed. I did not have any difficulties trying to fall asleep, which was not the case with my first, or third roll. I fell into a deep slumber, and awoke the next morning to leave for home.
I am not very expierienced with the use of MDMA, but what I felt while I was on that pill was a very clean and smooth ride, which from what I have read is the way that it is supposed to be. My second time rolling was by far the best, and probably one of the best times and experiences that I have ever had. It will live on in my memory forever.
