Opioids eating raw latex or poppy pod

It's impossible to say,because the morphine content of pods varies from .1% to 3%, depending on the strain, growing conditions and stage of growth. I will tell you raw opium should not be taken in grams unless you have a really hardcore opiate habit. Even if you have a decent tolerance to opiates it'd still be a lot. The morphine content of opium varies from 5% to 28%(highest record), usually 10%-15%, never mind the other active alkaloids. So a gram could have anywhere from 50mg of morphine in the weakest to 280mg of morphine in the strongest, in addition to other active alkaloids. Maybe take 100mg of opium, or 500mg if you have a tolerance? You can always use more, can't really un-use a drug. Do you use other opiate/opioids, like oxycodone, morphine, or heroin?
Traditionally opium was smoked in bowls of 100-300mg. Please don't burn it, vaporize it. That's probably why you sometimes read trip reports where they smoke grams, they wasting most of it by burning it with a direct flame.
Also sometimes black tar heroin is misrepresented as opium, it's black but can be brown, brownish yellow, or even reddish black. It smells like vinegar and it's bitter like a motherfucker. More than 100mg of that shit if strong could kill a person.
Sometime dragon's blood incense is misrepresented as opium; it has little to no activity. And sometimes concentrate of poppy straw, an extract of pods traditionally know as meconium, is misrepresented or mistakenly thought to be opium. Meconium will have the alkaloids but won't be as good.
