    Welcome Guest!

*early-summer festival* for the first time!

I'm guilty of losing my phone at this event last year. A brand new Blackberry! The fucker who found my phone actually ended up picking up when I called the number, and said he'd sell it back to me for $50. Which I was fine with, because the actual phone itself was worth much more than that, not to mention all my pictures/notes/messages... But then he claimed he brought it into the venue the second day and lost it. Pfft.

Anyway, long story short, finding out my phone had fallen out of my pocket sometime during the night slightly killed my roll so I'd suggest to really remember to keep an eye on your belongings.

Ok so I'm planning on going to an early-summer festival in SoCal at the end of this month. This will be my first rave ever! I've gone to LoveFest in SF but i don't count that as a rave. I'm an experienced ecstasy user , but a virgin to the rave scene. Anyways I want any advice you think i should have. I just want to get the most out of this experience. Thanks!

dont get floored too long or you wont have as much fun. keep your dose where it needs to be and pop after 9 and only pop one day.

Had an awesome idea regarding my phone this year (bc I usually lose mine and hav an iPhone now). I'm going to get one of those "go" phones from ATT.
They allow you to put your simcard in them so essentially it's your phone, same number etc. If you lose it, it's just 15 bucks for a new simcard!

the last 3 years at edc i have not been able to make one phone call or send one text message the whole time because theres not enough cell phone towers in the area to handle all the cell volume (rolly pollys tent to use them alot u kno). so its best to just not bring in any phone and just have a spot to meet up if u have not seen your group in an hour. but if u gotta have a phone i highly suggest alternativesurfers idea, bring and old phone and if u lose it the most you gotta pay is 15 for a new sim card, most times sim cards are free where im from so it dont even matter bout the 15.

I'd like to remind everyone in this thread that we don't allow discussion about how to circumvent the law here. While I acknowledge your good intentions and the effort you made to help your fellow EDers, I've had to moderate/edit several of the posts in this thread in keeping with our policy. Also, we don't allow the naming of specific events on this forum, so I've edited each post that mentions the "early-summer festival".

Also, to everyone who's going, don't worry, you'll have a great time. :D Due to the event's increasing popularity, I'd try to stay out of high traffic areas lest you get stuck for an hour on the main stage like I did last year. 8(

truth! if theres a dj there everyone wants to see IMO its easier to avoid it or watch from afar....the mainstage nonsense last year on sat was bullshit. i had to bombardier over a huge fence to get on the mainstage and find my friend just to scale back over and go back to dnb. all my n00b friends are being warned if they get sucked into popular dj chasingthey are on there own!

*snip, see last post* --RGB

I'd suggest making sure the coat and/or shirt you bring aren't your absolute favs as there is a chance they could get lost. My friends are always losing their shirts because they set them somewhere but don't remember where ahaha!

A small back pack is handy too. I'd suggest getting two bottles of water and keeping them in this bag along with gum, lights, your shirt, your phone ect. Two bottles are handy as if one runs out you don't have to worry about refilling it right away. Just make sure that if you have expensive things like your phone or wallet in your backpack that it's either hard to get into or you have a friend watching your back. Can't trust some of these kids in the mobs.

And if it is possible for everyone in your group to have a cell phone on them, I'd suggest it with caution. Yes, almost every time I go to a rave someone loses their phone, but at the same time, if you're really concerned with meeting up with them or keeping track of them (something I tend to obsess about) have a phone to text them is VERY nice. Just make sure it's secure. A good move might be putting your phone on a lanyard, hooking it to your belt buckle and keeping it in your pocket.

Also, don't overdo it on the pills. Getting floored is nice, yes, but at an event with so many activities you'll feel like you missed out if you just end up in the corner overwhelmed.

ive found sooo many shirts and jackets just laying on fences hahaha. at wonderland i found a grey matix zip up hoodie. bad ass one. washed it twice and now im rocking it. wordddddddd. that truth is too funny!
