Earliest Childhood Memories

like the corners of my mind

*I can remember wanting my Mum to build me an electric car (I thought you could just build them with stuff lying around the house) and then crying when I found out it wasn't possible...

*I can remember at dress up time at pre-school, sprinting to get the 'pretty dress' to try and impress Joshua King...aaah....my first crush!

*I remember playing at a park with my Grandpa and my mum on a see-saw, and Grandpa and I were on one end and my mum was on the other, and when She hopped off, the end swung up and hit her on the chin and she got a really big cut.

*I remember we had a chilli bush outside and I told my mum I was going to make a chilli salad (I had this really nice idea of what chillis would taste like in my head) and I made it (with birdseye chillis mind you) and then had to eat like 4 slices of break and about 2 litres of water....

Oh I also remember being on a see-saw at playgroup when the stupid girl on the other end randomly jumped off leaving me to crash rather painfully to the ground.

I have two memories from when I was a few months old.

One was visiting a neighbours house. I remember sitting on their patio.
Second one was lying down to sleep in my brothers room.

One of the earliest is probably also one my most favorites of my Dad when i was a child. It was some time very early on in primary school and it was the first time i came in contact with paper aeroplanes. Upon getting home i must have begged my dad for ages to make me one as i had no idea. Little did i know at the time neither did my dad. After what seemed like an hour he came out with this paper flying machine that had more resemblence to a kite, it even had a tail. I remember it didn't really fly that well and i can't remeber if i was upset or not at the time, but it's a memory i will cherish always.=D

i cant really pin point what my earliest memory is, their all sort of jumbled in my head...

one i remember was standing next my mum holding her hand looking up at our block of flats and seeing my grandma standing on our balcony waving at us... i also remember feeling the earth trembling beneth my feet which scared me [it was the first time i ever encounted a very mild earth quake}.

this one i must have been very young.... i remember my mum coming back from the hairdressers with a much shorter do then she had before and me reaching up to toach her hair, completely puzzled cos i knew that this was my mum but she didn't look the same to me anymore. actually i think this would have been my earliest memory and i would have been about two i think.

one was of me standing in my cot and looking down at my brothers cot (hes 2 years younger than me and he was just born)

another of me running to pick up a teddy that was left as a present for my bro. we were coming back from the hospital. i dont know if it was when my brother was born or when he had to get his feet out of plaster (his toes had to be reset cos his big toe was like an opposing thumb - mum's o- so i think thats what caused it).

i also remember my third birthday, but thats not super early.

oh, yeh, my first sketch book....i would have been about 1 and a half cos i dont think my bro was born yet. that'd be my earliest.

Haha, I remember having this conversation a few weekends ago and saying "My earliest childhood memory was a doctor leaning over me"... everyone thought I meant when I'd just come out of the womb!

But no, it was when I was on the verge of death, or if not brain damage and was a sick little child. I think I was about 2 1/2. The memory is just a short snippet, but clear as day.
