EADD YouTube Video Thread: Canned Scotch! What's next?

I watched this a few days ago, just after she was voted in, but I forgot to post it on here :roll eyes: .

In all honesty I have to say that personally I think this is the best speech that I have heard from any politician, in a very long time.

I was genuinely impressed and moved by her words and delivery, and trust that she will go on to do as good a job in her new role, as she made of her maiden speech in the House of Commons.

There are none of the usual empty and meaningless bullshit political / corporate buzzwords. And the whole thing just rings out loud and clear as to just how genuine and heartfelt she is in what she says.

You do know Emily Pankhurst Emmeline targeted infrastructure, government, churches and the general public, and saw the use of improvised explosive devices, arson, letter bombs, assassination attempts and other forms of direct action and violence as fine things to help push their agenda to get Votes.

It's in the same camp as Nelson Mandela who used to get his Semtex off The IRA & had no issue with giving gay people a "Necklace" which is a car tyre soaked in petrol & had petrol sitting inside the type ring & a person would toss a piece of burning paper onto the tyre & let the person burn to death.

I heard her speech live as I watch The House of Commons speech most days on Freeview as it's broadcast live each day, The Green party have some good ideas but like @LoginNotSecure said "On top of the fact she thinks men can be women and women can be men madness. They can play pretend, sure."
, it sent Keir Stalin the message he so thoroughly deserved
Amen to that, I am 100% with you here.
Just as importantly, perhaps more importantly...........this has also prevented the seat from going to Reform, who are now starting to look like a party on the decline.
But that is democracy is, you may not like Reform to win seats but if they have enough votes & the people have spoken that is the system we have.
Like the people who HATE Trump in The USA & go mad over him, the guy this time around WON The College Vote so he got The White House, the issue with The Left is they always want it all their own way, they cry about places in the world that don't have a democratic voting system YET when "the system" doesn't go their way they go mad over it, I am 100% sure most of The Left would love a system like Russia as long as someone like Zack Polanski, Zarah Sultana, Diane Abbott or Jeremy Corbyn won every time.

When the day of the rope finally happens, I'd like a front row seat.
Look what happened to Nicolae Ceaușescu in Romania ;) ;)

Politics is always amusing, certainly illuminates the low IQ amongst a crowd.
100% agree with you there, I have said the same thing myself.

@LoginNotSecure & @Bleaney
You pair ever read "Resistance to Civil Government" AKA "On the Duty of Civil Disobedience" by Henry David Thoreau?
Yes his the same man that wrote The American Classic "Walden"

“There will never be a really free and enlightened state until the state comes to recognize the individual as a higher and independent power, from which all its own power and authority are derived.”
― Henry David Thoreau, Civil Disobedience.

“The rich man is always sold to the institution which makes him rich.”
― Henry David Thoreau, Civil Disobedience.

“If a thousand men were not to pay their tax bills this year, that would not be a violent and bloody measure, as it would be to pay them, and enable the State to commit violence and shed innocent blood. This is, in fact, the definition of a peaceable revolution, if any such is possible.”
― Henry David Thoreau, Civil Disobedience.:love::love::love::love::love::love::love::love::love::love::love::love:

“A minority is powerless while it conforms to the majority.”
― Henry David Thoreau, Civil Disobedience.
And this is WHY The Green Party will never get any change of the system in regard to drug laws & also new Tax rates they want to put on Amazon, Uber etc. @Shambles @Bleaney

“government is best which governs least"; and I should like to see it acted up to more rapidly and systematically. Carried out, it finally amounts to this, which also I believe—"That government is best which governs not at all"; and when men are prepared for it, that will be the kind of government which they will have.”
― Henry David Thoreau, Civil Disobedience.

That's five minutes away from me on foot, and heading toward a very Muslim part of town.

The cynical side of me says that the women in hijabs are a useful prop. But I voted for her purely to get a decent majority over the Reform candidate, who didn't even bother canvassing in our area, and would've received short shrift if anybody had turned up.

I look forward to the day where nobody has to vote tactically, but I'm not certain it'll happen in my lifetime.

Even the Lib Dems' alternative vote (remember that?) would be refreshing.

the Reform candidate, who didn't even bother canvassing in our area
:mindblown::mindblown:

You have any idea who they put up for the seat?
Most of Reform members seem to have a "vibe" about them which makes me feel uneasy, anyone who's ever heard Lee Anderson talking on GB News or watched his show & cannot spot that guy isn't quite "right" needs to look again.

In a way I really hope Reform do well, I can't wait for the moment to hit when all the people who are thick as shit & seem to lump all "Muslims" together & hate people who come over on a boat from France finally learn what Reform are about & their PIP & other benefits are slashed so badly.
Reform are near equal to Margaret Thatcher at her worst, all the "working class" people who love Reform have NEVER sat down & listened to Farage do a speech, at the very most they have watched a Tiktok clip that's 30 seconds long & decided he is the guy to save The UK, I cannot help but smirk to myself.

They put Matt Goodwin, of GB News fame / infamy, forward. Went on predictable tirades against the 'liberal elite' (which everybody with two brain cells knows doesn't exist) and made a big noise about not being 'part of the establishment' (which he definitely is).

I was looking forward to my Reform visit as I wanted to make somebody cry. But alas, it was not to be.

Bet the Russian fundraisers were gutted.

This is perhaps one of the most memorable Nigel Farage speeches imho. The one he made to the European Parliament just after winning Brexit, a movement which was arguably all down to him, or at least the referendum on the issue had to be made, arguably because of the momentum of the populist appeal that he set in motion. And here he is with his infamous "When I started the Brexit campaign, 17 years ago, you all laughed at me! Well you're not laughing now are you?!" speech.

And then he just continues gloating and rubbing it in, even insulting the other European MPs for "never having done a proper job in their lives", almost as bad as his other "Who are you?" speech where's he's insulting the EU council president of the time, Van Rompuy for having the charisma of damp rag, and appearance "of a low grade bank clerk", and his home country, Belgium for being a "non-country." :ROFLMAO: Whether those things was true or not is irrelevant, Farage was just being a rude twat really, for no good reason?

I still don't quite know what to make of it. On the one hand he is right in what he says, but on the other it's bad form, or maybe some kind of of 'un-British' way of carrying on. I can't quite put my finger on the exact words or phrases I'm looking for.

A memorable speech on a memorable occasion though obviously.

I do blame him personally for Brexit, and the mess we are in now, for many reasons, but most largely due to Brexit, which has harmed our country far more than benefitting it. If he'd not fronted the campaign, and ridden the wave so well, but someone else instead, the whole thing might never have happened.

In this documentary I travelled to the towns of Weymouth & Poole on the UK's South Coast to investigate a crisis that is growing faster than ever before! Over the last decade an epidemic has exploded across the UK, with use increasing by 200% and people seeking treatment for this hidden crisis increasing by over 700% with more young people than ever before in treatment for this, increasing 3 fold in just a decade! But what is this dangerous substance and why is it ravaging towns and cities across the UK, with more young people than ever before using this I headed to one of the worst affected areas in the UK to find out for myself! The Town of Poole has areas that are amongst the most deprived in the UK and was recently voted amongst the worst places to live In The UK but did it deserve the title? What I found and heard from the locals was truly shocking... From scenes of overwhelming poverty, numerous homeless encampments to hearing of a county lines gang & crime epidemic taking place and according to numerous locals "everyone" is using this terrifying substance! With statements like this from locals its no wonder there is a huge amount of negative media attention focused on the crime and issues in the area!

@mal3volent
That dog meme you posted a few days ago about the dog getting stabbed & the cop asks if he has a licence for stabbing, well this is the kinda place in The UK that is made for.

In this documentary I investigate three Towns in the UK's Poorest County, often labelled as the Worst Towns in Cornwall! The county of Cornwall is not only the most deprived region in the UK but also the 2nd most deprived area within Northern Europe too! With reports of open, widespread substance abuse and homelessness in Cornwall, the first town I travelled to was Penzance, one of the poorest towns in the UK and one with a severe substance abuse problem, in fact the town has the unfortunate nickname 'Brown Town', I then travelled to Camborne the poorest town in the poorest region in the UK, Cambourne has some of the worst poverty and homeless statistics to be found anywhere in the United Kingdom and I was truly shocked at what I found, Last but not least was my visit to St Austell, the largest town in Cornwall and statistically the Most Dangerous Town in Cornwall too! What I found in these three Cornish towns truly shocked me and opened my eyes to the dark underbelly of life in Cornwall!

Once there was a saying, "Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me."

Well, that's gone tits up hasn't it?

This was more than adequately addressed in the video tbh. Repeating slurs reinforces racism - that’s simply a fact - so we can continue to reinforce racism or move on. Onwards and upwards sez I =D

Aghori Kabiraj shares startling stories of his legendary Guru Aghori Chunchun Baba of Nepal. The Saint who was known to never take a bath out of compassion for the tiniest life forms living in his robes set an unforgettable example for all his disciples and followers. Believed to be an incarnation of none other than Lord Pashupatinath by his followers, Chunchun Baba's is one of the most mysterious Aghoris of Nepal.Based in the Chunchun Baba Aghori Aashram, Kathmandu, Nepal - Aghori Kabiraj diligently carries on the work of his beloved Guru - offering sewa (service) to animals - feeding and tending to around 500 dogs and monkeys everyday with the aid of generous supporters and animal lovers. He fondly recalls true life incidents of how his Guru had absolutely no care for his own comfort, even to the extent of sacrificing his own life to spare another.

I know that the word 'gammon' is usually used in particular reference to a certain (stereo)type of white people, but it's never sat well with me.

Down the road there's a Seventh Day Adventist church with an all black congregation who have very conservative beliefs. Would it be acceptable for me to call them hot chocolate? No it wouldn't.

An all white congregation would be deemed 'racist' because it doesn't tick the DEI boxes.
.
But minorities seem to be able to exclude anyone they want, without being called out for it.
