EADD What Are You Munching On? v. Godlike steaks & shitting candles.

I don't think about the future. It fucking terrifies me. The present is scary enough.

Edit...why the fuck do I get up at 5:00 when I'm on the sick.......damn yout bodyclock!!!!!!! :)

Eating, what is eating? 8(

Stim binge...body needs nutrients.

Made a push to do a veggie curry and tri-rice. Strange buy from my birthday Asian shopping splash. The curry is mild, sweet potato, chickpea and other veggies. Gentle on tummies and hopefully fully of nutrients!

Am I to assume "tri-rice" is white, brown and wild mixed together? Surely that'd be a nightmare to cook properly? Or do you do them seperately then combine?

Also, seems we are curry twins. In my case it was (very) roughly Morrocan inspired (inasamuch as I picked up a pack of tagine spice blend half price t'other day) and featured lamb mince, aubergine, chick peas, fresh tomatoes, carrot, sweet potatoes, sweet and hot peppers (almost all of these being reduced too). Had it with a packet of "Morrocan" cous-cous (had sunflower seeds and raisins in amongst other bobs). Mild heat and slightly sweet - really rather tasty and am not usually a one for hot n sweet together.

So you'll be calling the firebrigade later to put your tongue out?

Hehe. I'm a bit of a chilli fan - got a load of Scotch Bonnets drying on my window sill at the moment cos they were selling 'em off cheap at the Co-Op as it happens. Eat 'em more or less daily and you do become somewhat immune after a while. Although in this case they were only standard chillies not one of the especially hot varieties

It came in the one packet from the See Woo (you're gonna love that place http://www.seewoo.com/glasgow) An unprocessed basmati, not quite brown but not bleached processed white, a red rice grain and black wild rice mix. It cooked together - 20 odd mins boiled then sat around to steam for another 5. They had microwave instructions on the packet for 40 mins 8(. It's textured stuff but tasted really lovely. A little really fills you and its packed with good stuff.

Now that sounds nice - I do like Moroccan cuisine and that combination of fruity sweet, sharp lemony and spice with some heat.

I picked up a Lebanese spice mix from the See Woo also ( reminded me of Whore and food we ate in Egypt of all places..) I'm going to have a go at something with that - not sure what buy google is my friend as is Whore if I need to PM for ideas!

Hopefully, I'll not poison oor Sadie this coming weekend :o There's no way I'd be able to do anything texmex without an anxiety attack! =D

Tonight I have homemade lasange from the freezer that will be easy peasy with a big salad on the side.

Oddly enough I had lasagne for dins last night. Lasagne "al forno" in my case which - as you can no doubt guess by the specificity - was bought in from Co-Op. Not microwaved for the first time in a very long time though. Actually baked in new oven till all browned 'n' bubbly. Was really very tasty actually. Their canneloni al forno is absolutely delish too actually.

And I was so happy to hear my good Lady Sadie will be visiting with you and yours this weekend. I rather envious of her getting to meet two of my all-time fave BLers and even more envious of you for getting to meet my tippity-toppity all-time fave BLer ><

(obviously i have met my good lady before - several times - but we are rather seperated by borders for now unfortunately :!)

Have a great time at the weekend - look forward to when I will be able to join you all <3

I must aquatint myself with this see woo that you speak of. Also, you know of the chinese cash and carry type place near great western road!?! My best mate keeps trying to get me to go with her. She says it's amazing. We might have to make it a girly foody shopping spree at some point!

Also, if you would wish to try your hand at tex mex I can help with all the cooking. I can show you how to make the most delicious Guacamole! Shambles, who doesn't care for Avocados even loves my guac! Also, fresh salsa! YUM!!! Unlike some, my salsa is uncooked. I don't care for the cooked ones. Think of it more a a blended Pico De Gallo. EEEEEE Can't wait for this weekend!!!!

Al forno isn't coined by the co-op <3 I know you know this but that's how it sounds! You're so cute!!!! Hopefully you'll be here soon enough!

Alas avocado makes me projectile barf - bit like DHC :( I think I may be allergic to it.

NOOOOOOOOOO Well if tex mex is on menu I could prepare some for sir Felix if he's keen on it. Other than that... Kate munchies no matter the origin of country shall be delicious!!!

There will be no texmex on the menu missus, my anxiety couldn't cope! I do cook it and love it but boy there's no way I'm letting you taste it lol...

Hmmm...I will ponder and see what mood we're all in at the end of the week. You never know you might end up with a chippy! Or some Scottish bizarre cuisine :sus:

I'm sure we'll be too busy yappying to eat! haha

Very noice, were's the wasabi and sides?

Ate the left over from the weekend.....piggery

The wasabi is in the green wrap on the left and the soy came in a seperate tub - it was great, esp the mackerel, but got a bit much towards the end - could have done with a bit of rice tbh.
