Heh, 'recipe' - like they're a bunch of kitchen chemists
I guess it beats repeatedly writing 'prescription'...

It's from the days of apothecaries where they pretty much did just mix a load of stuff together, I'm sure we've all seen the crazy medicines they used to sell just a century ago full of chloroform, cocaine, and opium sold as a cure-all for everything.
On that topic I'm planning a trip to the Royal Pharmaceutical Society Museum soon where they showcase all that old timey stuff and tell you about the history, should be very interesting for someone interested in drugs.
I'd be an awful pharmacist. Would be like putting a fat kid in charge of a bakery.
Hey has anyone experienced a full on bad trip after injection of supposed H? Lasted 45 min was absolutely terrifying. Couldn't get out of my car.
Isn't Oxy terrible compared to heroin?
ffs, that made me spit my fucking drink out & some came out my nose.
I just paid my last ?1.30 for this can of Monster too![]()
That's purely down to personal preference. A lot of Yanks will tell you oxy is better than heroin. Personally I've had mixed results out of oxy, I find it plenty strong but not too euphoric in all honesty.
The price of Monster is a fucking shambles! The local supermarkets are charging ?1.80 for the fucking stuff! There's only one shop near me that's charging the reasonable price of ?1 but that's a sale that will surely expire.
You can blame the government's new nanny state sugar tax I imagine.
Just got back from the pharma museum and it was brilliant, highly recommend a visit for anyone around London. Lots of interesting historical medicines including cough drops containing cocaine and diamorphine, chlorodyne, laudanum, and a giant bottle of poppy pods. They also had more recent history like the original branded Valium boxes, Valium injection liquid, and Oramorph bottles, along with the really historic shit like bottles of bones that were mixed to create medicines like witches brewing potions.
All I can say is I wouldn't mind having a cough 100 years ago...
Isn't it funny how when opium, morphine, diamorphine, cocaine, cannabis etc. were freely available in every street corner chemist shop, we didn't have a 'drug problem'? No doubt there were many addicts, but as we all know, the most significant problem with addiction is intermittent and unreliable supply. These folk could consistently get what they needed when they needed it at an affordable price - until that yank cunt Harry Anslinger founded the 'war on drugs' to justify his position after the repeal of alcohol prohibition, putting pressure on the rest of the world to follow suit. We should have just told him to fuck off...

Monster is a quid in my local Asda...

Today's real irony drugs-wise is the very thin line between medical and recreational use of pharmaceuticals. I'm literally prescribed speed for crying out loud. If anyone tells you that pharma speed doesn't get them high they're a liar. The NHS has no problem providing this to me. They've also given me opiates many times with no questions asked. But cannabis, oh no we can't have that, it destroys lives don't you know?
True. I really do question the validity of a medical system that prescribes potent amphetamines to children from the age of 7, only to completely cut them off at the age of 18 unless they can demonstrate adult ADD/ADHD. Furthermore, I question what doctors are actually taught...
