I had some things analysed just a couple days ago by LC/MS, i've seen this thing floating around the net - i'm no fan of DXM myself but there's an erowid page about this, one up on thethirdplateau, etc.
It says basically you can take some DXM HBr powder, put it in a vial or something, and pour some HCl acid in there and shake it up and get mostly DXO HCl out. Reports of people doing that and then eating some saying it felt different etc, but debates over whether it works or not.
So what the hell, threw some DXM powder in a vial and did what it said to do, actually left the vial sitting for days soaking in hydrochloric acid then just poured a little out on a dish to evap, sent it along with the other shit and I don't have the images yet but here's what I got:
4.1 % DXO and 95.9 % DXM
The original DXM HBr powder itself wasn't analyzed to see if it was just pure DXM, or it could have had a little DXO in it.. dunno. But i'll go post this on that dxm forum they can put it on that DXO page if they want.
