DXM Slurred speech? HELP

cathinone_king -

I offer the following thoughts merely in the spirit of sharing rather than one of rebuke. The folks responding to your statements regarding DXM have all tried to underscore one common point, and that is the fact that DXM is not only a powerful drug, but one that seems to be almost unique when one comes to understand its specific nature.

I'm referring to the sensation one gets of being able to directly engage in a sort of dialogue with a larger consciousness, be it collective or spiritual or what have you. Indeed, for me the positive impact that intelligent DXM use has had on me cannot be understated. I use DXM in a way that makes the vast majority of people cringe; to wit, almost daily at anywhere from 300-900mg per day, depending on what I must accomplish. I have been using in this fashion for over two years straight. Recent blood tests reveal nothing out of the ordinary save an extremely slight elevation in hematocrit no doubt do to general dehydration - recognize that this latest test was executed less than twenty four hours after an amphetamine binge, and I think you will agree that such results put your claim that DXM abuse has a profoundly negative impact on one's health in serious doubt.

As to the legitimacy of the 'spiritual' effects, I will proffer the following theory: DXM, like many psychedelics, markedly amplifies many aspects of the user's own personality. A person actively pursuing spiritual development might make claims to a direct impact on this aspect from several of the more powerful psychedelics. After all, one of the most common observations about LSD is the feeling of "oneness with the universe", or with ecstasy, the extreme empathy one feels towards his colleagues. Of course there will always be those who argue that such effects are strictly artificial and only induced by the weakened mind of the user, but for my part I strongly disagree.

In my case, DXM proved to be the single most effect catalyst for increasing my ability to detect the presence of thought outside my own head. Indeed, without getting into a separate debate about core beliefs in such matters, let me say directly that at this point in my life (later forties) I absolutely one hundred percent believe that direct telepathic communion is indeed possible with like minded individuals in certain circumstances. At the risk of inducing ridicule and even perhaps damage to my own credibility insofar as that applies, I have personally experienced telepathic events with a few others in a specifically spiritual context, and moreover that these colleagues have each verified. And I'm not talking about a group of student wastoids attempting to justify drug use - I am talking about people held in very high esteem by their respective colleagues in both intellectual matters as well as matters of the spirit. Indeed, one of them was in fact my personal benefactor insofar as he introduced me to the methodologies specific to the acquisition and utilization of the trance state required in order to engage in some of the more esoteric communicative approaches.

All of this is to suggest that it is perhaps your own negative mental/emotional convictions about DXM that renders it useless for you. Is that such an unreasonable possibility? After all, wouldn't you agree that if one takes LSD while harboring a most definite fear and belief that it will result in a bad experience, do the chances of that precise result increase? Of course they do. Its repeated all the time as a basic axiom of psychedelic use: Mindset is everything and by far the single most important factor with regard to the nature of the experience.

I humbly suggest that you actually study DXM legitimately rather than simply regurgitating things you have read from obviously inaccurate sources, especially before engaging in rebuke and improper instruction to people who, like you, are attempting to maximize the positive aspects of their drug use.

Just an idea.

^wow that was a hell of a post to read while on a high 3rd plateau trip - that connection to the larger consciousness or whatever you want to call it has always been there with DXM when i have used it. The experience is so mystical because of this property and the ability to reproduce the same experience time and time again even over the course of a decade. This feeling is the very reason i got into psychedelics and spirituality in the first place. Your post stands out to me like a divine revelation. Nice work. +1 for the DXM lovers in the universe.

^^ synchrojet, you nailed it, +1. I noticed that the connection can return days after taking DXM as well, under other circumstances. DXM allows a person to view in great detail this... I don't know what it is, it's like a bath of thought surrounding us all. It full of patterns. I wonder how effective prayer is when seen in that context...
