DXM & Prozac - First Time. Am I okay?

So without thinking about interactions of medications and all that jazz, I decided to drink 120 mg of Tussin DXM from Riteaid. I understand this is not a lot, keep in mind I am a female who weighs 95 pounds and this is my first time ever experimenting with DXM. I am prescribed 20 mg of Prozac and take it every night before bed. I have taken Prozac for the past few months. Last night (or I should really say this morning...) I took my pill at around 4 AM when I finally got to bed.

I took the 120 mg of DXM at around 9:00 PM tonight and wasn't really feeling anything for like a good hour. About an hour into it I started feeling mildly relaxed, didn't notice anything too drastic. A few hours into it (and now) I'm noticing that I'm beginning to feel a bit weird. My head feels extremely heavy and I almost feel out of touch with reality. Which is odd because just an hour ago I felt like I was just very tired and needed to sleep. Now I feel like I couldn't sleep even if I tried. I feel funny when I walk and I'm have a severe case of dry mouth...

Am I okay?

Any responses would be much appreciated. Thanks so much.

* My pupils are also pretty dilated I forget to mention that. Also, I made sure that the Tussin I bought had only DXM in it - 15 mg per 5 ml.

Just feeling pretty weird. I'm sure I'm fine but I'd just like to get some reassurance. Thanks guys..

IMHO, robotripping is NEVER a good idea. There are serious risks associated with using DXM in combination with Fluoxetine (Prozac), most notably, serotonin syndrome. Serotonin syndrome can be fatal.

I don't say this to make you panic, but if I were in your shoes, I'd contact a doctor.

edit: Symptoms of serotonin syndrome include confusion, rapid heart beat, chills/shivers, dilated pupils, muscle stiffness, nausea, vomiting, etc. 120mg of DXM alone isn't likely to incite any of these symptoms on its own (though a higher dose of DXM could), so if you experience any of these symptoms, you should really consider seeking medical assistance.

Even at 120 mg?? - which is the adult maximum dose per day albeit, not to be taken all at once of course... I am indeed feeling pretty dizzy and light headed but it's nothing out of control like some of the stories I have read..

120mgs of DXM isn't likely to send you on a robotrip, so if you begin to experience the symptoms described in my first post, be aware that they *could* be signs of serotonin syndrome. Serotonin syndrome can kill you.

Thanks for the reassurance... I really appreciate your response, I think I was just freaking myself out a bit. I'm just going to stay up with my boyfriend for a while until my head feels straight again, but I'll stay posted.

well becuz she weighs 95 pounds. and it's her first time that would put her at 1st plateau and into a low 2nd plateau tirp..
and also it would be stronger depending on how you metabolizes it..

and the effects u said u was having is the same you get from tripping on dxm.. and your eyes will get very big on dxm.. really hugh sumtimes..
