DXM hallucinations & schizophrenia

Recently dxm has caused me to hallucinate to an extreme extent. I mean not Just patterns & slight OEV's. It's like I'm suddenly launched into a completely new reality visually yet I know it's not real & can feel & hear things from reality around me. I've taken dxm nearly 100 times over the past 7 years & know the drug well. I've also dabbled in other various drugs mostly hallucinogens & RCs & I've never hallucinated like this. It's happened 2x recently. Once on 32 coricidin which I know is terrible no need to preach. I enjoyed the trip a lot but was unable to even finish a sentence the next day. Cartoon charecters leApt out of my tv. Everything went white & scenerios began plAying out I can't remember much details from it. Just that I would come in & out of hAllucination land only to notice nothing on tv seemed scripted & Try standing up just to be rocketed back out of reality. The second time was on an 8 oz. bottle of robitussin. I don't remember much detail again. Only that I ended up outside reality & this time I was convinced I was dead & then I started seeing & feeling myself falling down into hell & repeatedly be killed but couldn't die. After what felt like weeks I felt myself physically fall down in reality. I had walked into my pitch black room & somehow got k holed or something like it for hours. I went in & out of this state until morning. somehow I still managed to be satisfied with & happy about this sudden breach of reality. I'm wondering if I've found some strange plateau or it was a psychotic break or just happens sometimes. I really just want to know if anybody else has has this happen to them. I've spoken at length to my brother about it & he claims he's had the same phenomenon happen while on dxm & untested but more than likely dangerous ecstasy tablets based on the fact he was hallucinating an entire new visual reality from 1 pill.

What exactly was your question? Hallucinations are to be expected on NMDA drugs, and it's not really an issue unless they persist several days after dosing.
 
Sounds to me like you were just tripping balls man. You have more experience with DXM particularly than I do, but I think either you just need to take less next time, or take a good long break from the cough syrup bottle.
 
The second experience just sounds like a bad dis trip. The first one however is definitely CPM adding a deliriant element to the trip. I can't remember where I read it but, supposedly cpm is only active in the PNS so it won't cause effects like say Diphenhydramine. I however noticed definite deliriant effects on doses higher than 300mg/32mg. Very light shapes dancing lines and spiders, nothing like a dph trip.

I'd definitely say don't ever do that much again. Most negative CCC reports I've read are more than 2 sheets of 'em. I don't even like to fuck with them anymore only use a max of 10 as a booster dose to another source of dxm. I definitely noticed the high is alot "dirtier" than other dxm products due to that damn anti histamine.
 
the crazyest trips ive had is from buzzing gas i sumhoow managed to take a huge hit and close my eyes and be transported into another world were i wwould meet people and talk to them sumtimes i would end up sitting down at traiin tracks sumtimes be sitting on a moving car going through a shopping mal. i even met this girl in ma trip and ended up shagging her with my eyes closed on ma bed but it fealt so damn real. sumtimes i would just be stuck in a box and sipiders would fly towards me or i would see loads of rats running around a room that i was sittiing in (all wiith my eyes closed) sumtimes i would start tallkiing to police it was all so VERY REAL. this was when i was seriiously into butane abuse. and i still hear that girls voice in my head now and then to this day!!!

anyone ever had anything like that?
 
psykoman - Those are common effects from abusing butane. Butane is a terrible thing to get high off and it causes permanent brain damage. Please do not do it again, there are plenty of drugs out there that are much safer and more fun. The neurotoxic effects of prolonged butane abuse include: psychosis (hallucinations, delusions); cognitive abnormalities; dementia; difficulty coordinating movement; spasticity; loss of feeling, hearing, and vision; significant damage to the heart, lungs, liver, and kidneys; and more. Some symptoms may improve when the butane is stopped but some of the damage is irreversible. Hope you are ok <3

My question was how common is this for dxm users? I mean it seems pretty strange to me. for almost 10 years i've been doing dxm recreationally at doses up to 1500mg & sometimes binging for nearly a week & this is completely new to me.

I try to stay away from c's usually. dxm has always been one of my favorite drugs & i've tripped on & off for a long time & usually steer clear of c's due to the antihistimine. but recently i started using them as a booster using 1box to boost an 8oz bottle of robo & to counteract the nausea i get from dxm. Ive always puked from it but for some reason ccc's kill the nausea & no matter how much more dxm i ingest after the initial 10-16 c's i never get sick. The trip on 32 was me just being broke & wanting to trip nuts. (generic triple c's are $2 a box at family dollar)
I noticed the dirty effect from the cpm but i kinda liked it & the deleriant effect is pretty noticable. idk about anybody else but it always puts this strange white haze around everything & makes me say things like "the tank battlemen arise multitudes above satans garbled feet upon mountains alike central misconstruction for whom the alleged bobblehead speaks".

& if thats what a dissociative trips like i deffinately want to find some more potent & purely dissociative drugs for future use.

never even seen an 10oz bottle of robo. im pretty sure the stuff that has a good amount of dxm & says long acting only goes up to 8oz unless the stores i go to just don't keep anything that big in stock.

Yeah they make 4s and 8s and it was an 8 plus a 4 split with my friend.
 
Every single time I do dissociatives I get these "third eye" hallucinations where, with my eyes closed, I can still "see" the room around me. Everything looks dark and hazy, but I can distinctly see everything around me in its correct place - its a very strange sensation, I would almost compare it to a lucid dream.
 
People with schizophrenia have NMDA receptors at an altered level due to their illness. You are ingesting a chemical that alters the very same NMDA receptors.
 
With you with seeing the room (dark) with eyes closed here. Apparently this is very common. Interesting as fuck thou isn't it?
 
I've had this happen a few times before, only on doses over 1 gram. I've basically become a professor of DXM and the dextroverse, with Robitussin gel caps and CCC's as my main point of research. In my experience, the C's cause more deliriant effects while the gel caps are more stimulating. The situation you (OP) are describing sounds like the last time I took 3 bottles of the gels, in which case I came out of the other reality into a hospital bed, where I ACTUALLY WAS. Don't overdo it unless you know exactly what to expect. Prolonged use (over 7 days straight) of DXM has been known to cause visual and auditory hallucinations, in some cases even up to a month after the usage stopped. This is proven by accredited researchers, and my own experience. Hope this helps %)
 
The 3rd eye thing happens to me alot too lol. i like it. it has a very strange shamanic/spiritual like feel to it for me.
& I had no idea how powerful of an nmda antagonist dxm could be until this stuff happened. i liked these reality bending trips so much its given me a new respect for the drug & after my years of use a better idea of how far from reality i have become Without realizing it. currently im taking a break from dxm & all drugs because i get these strange days where i wake up & things look dissociated for no apparent reason. blurry vision(blurrier than normal) & a bubble of about 10feet in front of me that looks normal. everything far away looks strange & unfarmilliar especially looking at houses & feilds & my visions real hazy as well as im stuck in my head & spaced out. & Dexoid, i too feel like ive become a professor of dxm. ihave for the most part figured out everything about it & can talk for hours on end about the effects from it & the trips ive had
