Misc DXM damage

I have read some pretty frighting erowid experiences

I am scared I am going to come out with an altered personality or some kind of learning disability or permanent speech problem. Does anyone have advice over the consequences of dxm?

yeah here's some advice from an ex-dxm user: don't do it. seriously, the harm outweighs any positive effects. it'd be like if darvocet was known to cause brain damage and you took it anyways..not worth it. if you're going to do it regardless of my advice, go over to the psychadelic forums and read the big & dandy thread for it.

You don't want to use DXM more than once every two weeks or longer; I wouldn't recommend taking it at all (I don't think the subjective effects are that desirable). It would also be good to avoid products with other active ingredients.

Since pinpoint basically said what I was going to, listen to him. Look in PD for information about DXM use, there is a ton of information in PD worth looking into.
