Okay yes I have read all the damn mega threads and used the search engine....

Basically I want to know if DXM would just keep tolerance AT BAY (not reduce) for a long term subutex user. I've been on the drug for 6 months at 16 mg and still get a slight mood lift from it, however, I started using the alcohol method for higher BA, and now get even MORE of a buzz and only take around 12mg. So I'm not trying to get high persay I'm mainly just stoked on the buzz I'm getting and want to be able to get it for as long as possible.

I take 50mg of DXM polistrex in the form of the CVS copy cat of Delisym (only active ingredient's DXM) 1x day and have been since about a week after starting to do the alcohol method, and have been taking it (the DXM) now for around 3 days (with the same buzz being upheld but I think it'd be that way anyway).

So ya would this be a good way to go about doing that or is it really just pointless to try realistically? I'm not gonna go around buying ridiculous NDMA antagonists btw I'm just sticking with DXM. Oh and I'm fine with drug interactions and all that I've done alot of background research on the topic, I guess the only thing would be if it's bad to take therapeutic doses of DXM for longer than 2 weeks.

Thanks guys

crap- mods: should I put this in advance pharm. discussion since it might be more likely to get an answer? I'll delete this post in OD

?

Of course no one is, when did I say they were?

Uhhhhhh did I say I didn't like it? What?

All I'm trying to do is get some help finding the forum best suited for this question, I wasn't trying to diss anyone.

Thanks I guess?

crap- mods

^Maybe I took that the wrong way, if I did, I'm sorry...

As far as your question goes, I have no firsthand knowledge of that particular subject, aside from reading a few things in passing...

You seem like a smart guy, and the resources at my disposal aren't any greater than yours when it comes to answering this rather unorthodox question. I'm sure someone will answer it eventually....

That's an awfully high dose of suboxone, and I can't really comprehend you feeling any greater effect from it beyond 12 mgs, whether potentiated or not.

I don't think ADD(N&PD now, the old name was so much easier) is really the quite the place for it, but I'll leave it up to Sekio if he wants to move it there...

You should maybe check out the Suboxone mega-thread though....

I'm pretty sure he meant "Crap! (Exclamation) Mods, should I....? (Inquiry).

^^^^Yes hahahahaha

Ok now i understand where you were coming from Blue I got you ya my bad didn't mean to say you guys were crap ahahahaha.

Ya I realize I was pretty impatient with that actually, I know it's a pretty specific question but I guess i was just trying to see more experiences specifically with buprenorphine since I had gotten the impression that alot of people had done the DXM tolerance thing...

I'll just give it some time there's no rush, and yes, again, I'm NOT DOING THIS TO GET HIGH. Only people on subs for at least a couple of months will understand the "mood lift" thing I'm talking about here, I understand that potentiating subs to get nodded off is pretty much completely pointless (not to mention goes against the whole point of taking subs) when your at a high dose /on maintenence, I just like the mood lift being where it is right now (best craving eliminator ever, couldn't ever see them actually taking a hold of me like they used too, yet at the same time the effect i get isn't enough to negatively effect me i.e. not nodding off while working etc.) because I haven't used heroin in SIX count em' SIX months. So ya... thanks for the recommendation though I've already been through it but i haven't read it all so I'll do that.
