Duo Testing

I recently tested a pill and it only tested positive to amphetemines. However when some of it was tasted it had a weak taste of MDMA. Is it possible for a pill to be largely speed and have a small amount of MDMAand for the tester to only react to whichever one is of stronger concentration????

The same pills were tested with someone elses testing equipment and apparently went black for a few seconds before turning green (indicating MDMA then Amphetemines) however i didn't see this test for myself.

My main question is - is it possible for there to be more than one active ingridient in a pill - and the test only really reacts to which ever one is in greater concentration? Or should it give some other kinda result?

literally tasted like it - wasn't really enough taken to know if there were specific effects - the person who tasted reported jaw clenching and being talkative though - but she only took half when she would normally take 2 or 3 - so the effects weren't particularly specific

that's not really the point though. To make it more simple i'm basically asking wat the tets do if there are more than 1 active ingridient in a pill

Now can we clarify something here?

"Tasted like MDMA" or "Tasted like other pills that had MDMA in them"?

Because there is a fuckin significant difference.

In the event of the first: If you have actually tasted MDMA powder, if there is MDMA present in the pill in any amount that you could taste, it would almost certainly show up on the test result.

In the event of the second: Given that MDMA and Amphetamines share a common base chemical structure (both are amphetamine like compounds) and as such could possibly taste similar, however, there could also have been a common binder used between the two pills that gave them the same taste.

So to basically answer your question.

I doubt there was MDMA in the pill. If it was in there, it'd show up.

IMHO the definitive answer to this situation is that if the test solution did not turn purple/black, then the sample had no MDMA or similar chemicals in it. It's not unheard of for pills to be badly mixed, or for a scraping from the side of a pill to give a mixed result if the pill has been kept in a used baggie.

I'd recommend taking the test sample from the middle of the pill, to make sure that you're not getting a contaminated sample. Bruxia, trisma and talkativeness are equally as possible with methamphetamine as with MDMA in my opinion.

Thanks for your help guyz - but u havn't quite answered the question. The person tasting knows exactly wat MDMA tastes like becasue she usually buys points in a cap - nuttin but pure powder.

Maybe i didn't explain myself very well. The taste of the pill doesn't really have much to do with my question. If you have a pill and that pill were to contain both MDMA and Speed wat would the test do??? Becasue marquis and mandelin test for both amphetemines and MDMA wat they do if they incountered both substances at the same time???

As i see it the testing chemicals can't go black and green at the same time - so would they go black - then green or would some go black some go green or would it just go to the colour of whichever substance (speed or MDMA) the pill had most of?????

I think that if you have a mixed sample of MDMA and amphetamine, the test result would very quickly progress to a final colour of black. It would definitely hit purple very quickly because of the MDMA, which may mask any orange colour change from the amphetamine. There's a chance that the amphetamine might react noticeably during the purple colour change, leading to a kind of brown to black reaction. That's not really speculative, I've done it as an experiment.
