So a friend of a friend's brother's next door neighbor's dog was out running in the suburbs of LA when he stumbled across some of the famous Californian crystal. It was good as he accidentally learned while sniffing around at the flowers on the ground before accidentally uncovering the bag. However, the product inside was a tad bit moist it seemed and clumped ever so slightly in removal from the bag.
Skip forward several days when the dog has to go back to his kennel across the country and brings the suprise goodies with him, as a souvenier you know. Being a paranoid dog he cleans the bag very well and carries it close to his body. Upon arriving at his destination, the product inside seems a bit more moist, although the crystals are still very evident. However, a slightly worrying tan discoloration has appeared in a small part of the product.
Now, the question is, should the aforementioned product be dried, or is this normal? And what about that color? Would it be safe to dry in the bag as is, seeing as it is slightly tedious to rebag such things as a dog with no apposable thumbs, or should a similar method be followed as that for drying wet coke (and yes, I did do a search, but the coke drying was all that came up, and I, as the animal's confidant, am unsure how such situations correlate)?
Edit: I just saw those other posts about SWIM and whatnot. All this mention of a dog is more for my amusement than any paranoid attempt to protect anybody. It's not like stuff would sit around for long anyway.
