Invest in a scale, buying one according to your budget is always better than none at all as long as you never assume a greater accuracy than is real.
Remember that supercheap 0.001 g scales may have another digit (one more than 0.01 g obviously) but it's disputable how much purpose it actually has. Thinking you get an actually accurate read when it's off can be more dangerous than not having the digit at all and not using it that way.
