What are some off-label psychiatric medications or recreational drugs that help with aggression/anger/irritability/agitation/frustration.

So far, the only drugs I know that accomplish this are the atypical antipsychotics, benzos, and mood stabilizers (Lithium, Lamotrigine, Valproic acid, Carbamazepine). I'm not aware whether Neurotonin or Lyrica help with this issue, but theoretically they might. Please post your experiences.

I wouldn't mess with any psych drugs without evaluation.

I guess this thread could be for people who want to do research and bring up possible medication options with their doctor. However, many people do not have have that option... I think it is perfectly fine to use drugs to try and solve an issue, hell if you can use drugs to get high is it wrong to experiment with them to help with an issue that interferes with your life?

That is far from what I'm saying.

These drugs aren't meant to be fun. They are meant to shut off certain parts of the brain to let others shine through.

There are a lot of problems that come out of all these drugs along with any success.

If you are not in proper health to begin with, what feels better is not always what's helping...

Bipolar people are not attracted to anti-psychotics at all.
They tend to abuse stimulants. They feel better, but they are destructively manic.

Anxiety ridden people tend to abuse GABA enhancing, opiate type, and dissociative type drugs.
This makes them feel better, but this eventually multiplies it.

Depressed people absolutely hate antidepressants. It even makes them feel worse at times.

A lot of these drugs can permanently damage your body without guidance.

GABAergics can help with anger and agression but they can also induce those feelings.

its hard to say what will work for you because everybody reacts a bit differently.
