I know cuttings really dumb and bad for you and i shouldnt do it but ive just been really upset recently and when i cut it feels like the pain is just going away, like completely disapearing. if i smoke weed or anything while upset it doesnt get rid of the pain, it just hides it behind fake happiness. cutting makes the pain go away, it makes me less sad, where weed, alcohol, and any other drug ive tried while upset just makes me more happy but with al the sadness still there. the damage to pleasure ratio is really bad with cutting though, so does anyone know any drugs that arr less harmful than cutting but still provide the same releif?

bl isn't here to recommend drugs for you to try.

I'm not really asking for you to reccomend me a new drug for me to start using for fun or anything, im asking for a less harmful replacement for a more damaging way of emotional relief. i understand that bluelights not here so you can just find out what and what not you can get high off of but I'm not asking for that, im asking for a less harmful alternative. it would be like recconmending adderall instead of meth to someone who's doing meth but would rather do a simalar, less harmful drug instead(but would still do meth without another alternative).

click on the links:)

Hot peppers have the same chemical that's released when we are burnt. It causes substantial pain and will cause the release of the neurotransmitters that cutting does and could likely produce the effect you desire without causing much damage. If you try this I would avoid swallowing too many and maybe explore topical application as well. Please be careful and take care of yourself<3 (I once was chopping habaneros and went to piss.. yeah ended up thinking I had caught the worst VD magically, finally ended up whimpering in the shower and pouring cream on my unit:\)

Aerobic exercise does the same thing.. exercise causes damage and pain. To allow us to push on the brain releases the chemicals your looking for.

I strongly recommend seeing if you can get psychological or psychiatric help for what motivates you to cut. I used to be a cutter in my teens, and I did find a drug to that helped relieve the psychological pain I was in. But that lead me down a road into full blown addiction to IV drugs, I highly recommend trying to get help for this before it can get that bad. Save yourself a lot of future pain and try and find a healthy way to deal with what you're going through.

Feel free to pm me if you wanna talk more about it.

Interesting thing is that dissociatives actually aren't only able to bring temporarily relief (quite disturbing at first from time to time though) but they can make you able to view the whole things, your life and everything around you, from another perspective ... thinking different, without having these blinkers on all day, can really make a change.

I used to have some quite self-harming behavioural too in my teens. Have been diagnosed with borderline personality disorder and such, don't know what to think about all that. I'm emotionally overly sensible for sure and this drives one crazy in these day's society without the required defence and coping mechanisms.

Naloxone / naltrexone could be helpful, I know about these studies and such, but for me personally it was a truly horrific experience at a very low dosage by accident. Imagine to go through opioid withdrawal without being addicted before ... naloxone is actually an opioid inverse agonist. Don't know if this is an extreme reaction or not.

Best wishes!

I would also say dissociatives might give you a fresh perspective on why you are cutting.

I also have to say, seeing a psychiatrist might be your best bet. You obviously are having a problem coping, and they might be able to give you a diagnosis that links you to the proper treatment.
