Drugs spiked... apparently MDMA wtf?

What do you mean - like, could someone be incapacitated by MDMA?

If you've ever taken too-large a dose, it can render you pretty incapable of defending yourself...
 
Yeah, this doesn't make much sense. You don't take MDMA and immediately pass out. Perhaps there were other actives that weren't detected.
 
it's from news.com.au which is a fetid murdoch online tabloid, so i wouldn't trust that anything in the article is accurate. could have been MDMA and a sedative - could have been zero MDMA and a sedative - frankly their content is so poorly written, and the journalism so bad (and so often factually incorrect) that i wouldn't be surprised if that detail was just "artistic license" on their part.

i really hate that whole "fake news" crap, and i hate being so cynical - but it's hard to take their journalism seriously; it's just trash.

be interesting to know if there are other articles on the same story and if they contain the same details...
