Is it possible to sustain more damage from a drug that you don't have tolerance to than if you did I understand that OD is obviously more likely but...Talking specifically stimilants and the brain...Would It be more damaging for someone without a tolerance to heavily binge on a stim....I didn't think that It would make all that mich of a difference and that the only risks you run with Low tolerance was immediate overdose but if that were avoided then the risks/Damage were similar...I can't seem to find any real information on this and would like it clarified as I had an experience where I hadn't used in some time then proceeded to binge quite heavily on Mephedrone...Which seems to have caused me some damage in a dose that would not necessarily be considered extreme by many 'Meph. Heads'.

Sorry about the punctuation and spelling errors and general rambling nature of the lost....I find it very difficult to write and near Impossible to edit my posts on here.

Not quite sure what your asking but tolletence has nothing to do with long term damage of a drug just in the short term of the high. If you were to use meth every day for a year and same as a friend you would both be at different levels of illness if that makes sense.
It mainly depends on on your body, some peoples bodys can take more damage before it beckme noticable.
So just because someone can take more of the stim in the short term doesnt mean the damage on The body is less.

Dont know if it answered the question but ahha

If you use a given recreational drug (or class of drug) regularly for an extended period of time, then in most cases your body eventually gets used to it and adjusts the appropriate receptors to bring you back to baseline; thus, someone who's been doing Adderall every day for several months will typically require much more than someone just starting out to get the same effect. Similarly, if you take a break from a given class of drugs for an extended period of time, then your body will eventually get used to operating without it and the amount you'll need to get high will dramatically decrease. Starting up again after a break is often a fairly dangerous time for people who aren't careful, as it will most likely take much less to get you high than you're used to taking. In your case, I don't know how much mephedrone you took, or how long you stayed off of it before going back, so I'm going to throw some numbers out.

Erowid claims that a common dose of mephedrone is somewhere in the neighborhood of 1-200mg, and a lot of the experiences list doses between about 100 and about 250mg. If you've given it a few months, then it would be wise to start in that range first to benchmark yourself; now, if you went and snorted half a gram and/or decided to re-up every hour for the entire night then you probably went too far and gave yourself a bad time. I'd be surprised if you did permanent damage (given that even stimulant psychosis tends to resolve reasonably quickly with a few benzos and decent psychiatric care), but you may have done some cardiac damage and you probably had a rough time. For future reference, if you're going to go back on a substance after an extended break, then start with the first-timer dose and then adjust from there.

Yes, tolerance is a essentially a "downregulation" of the brain --- the synapses become a little more spaced out, and there is less dopamineric activity , less nerouns firing off.......

the brain basically slows itself down to a halt to protect itself from the inevitable stimulant load you are going to drop on its poor ass....

this is a way for the brain to adapt and tolerate the stressed you are unleashing upon it with your stimulant binges.
