Drugs and study an unfair advantage?

^ I used to love doing exams while stimmed up on ritalin and dexies. Used to fucking ace 'em too! Never really used meth for study, but used it for work plenty. Actually I am a fucking liar, I used methamphetamine at school and studying at home numerous times in VCE.

I went into a test a month or two back on meth and topped the class for it. Pretty sure the meth just cancelled out the fact that I was still a bit scat from the weekend before though.

I've always found them to help with memory when I'm actually on them, but studying on stims doesn't help me recall the info later on, it just means I can work longer and harder.

Ideally, you're supposed to take the exams under conditions as similar to those in which you studied as possible, iirc.

Oh wow perfect timming for this thread.
As of monday i have my psych exam for uni so this week all ive been doing is studying whilst on the pipe lol.

People above were mentioning about time management issues and i couldnt agree with you more. Im the worst when it comes to time management hence my reasoning for cramming study all stimmed up.
One part of me is saying its a pathetic justification to be studying on shards. The other part is saying im using it for my advantage.
Whilst im studying, im fully concentrating, totally focused and absorbing the context and material its great, been able to cover alot of revision and catch up on things i wasnt clear on.

Despite everything, im still taking healthy approaches. I force myself to eat something small and nutritious every few hours, keeping myself hydrated, taking regular breaks, rewarding myself and have xannies on hand to get a few hours sleep.

All in all, im feeling quite confident for this exam on monday and im sure ill do well :)

Study high, take the exam high :p

Always seem to work for me along with chewing gum during study and during exams.

Who am I kidding though, I never studied :P

I don't really think its an unfair advantage. Some people have more stationary and learning tools than others, does that give them an unfair advantage?

Life is a competition. It's a dog eat dog world out there....every man for himself. If you don't do whatever it takes you get left behind.

Thats just my 2 bob though.

^ haha it gets like that doesn't it. I have 2 huge assignments due in a week I have had a semester to get started on and have continually put off, silly me. :( Lucky I have just a little emergency MDPV for if I need to pull an all nighter or two. ;)

Whats MDPV?

Now my question is; Could this be giving him an unfair advantage over other students?

After completing one of the hardest degrees on the market I can safely say that stimulants are not helpful for study. (I tried) They give you a false sense of security which ends up making you think you are doing the right thing when you most probably are not.

Get some good sleep, eat well, exercise, and study your arse off starting day one of the semester.

It is much healthier, and you will get that sense of achievement that you did it yourself. And as an added bonus, the next time you are under stress, you will not be reaching for the medicine bottle to fix your problems.

America is creating a drug addicted generation that will inevitably lead to many social problems.

Everything sucks, MDPV stands for 3,4-methylenedioxypyrovalerone, it is an RC type stimulant that is quite euphoric and enjoyable. Personally I prefer methamphetamine for recreational use but I got the impression peevee would be a good work/study drug.

I have a little bit left, as well as a meth pipe. I look forward to trying smoking, as when I used ti before I only snorted and ate it.

It was the name of the user who enquired about MDPV, which I referred to in this thread. Everything is sweet down my way nabollocks, but thanks for asking. ;) Good post on the last page btw.

Good stuff mate. And cheers for the comment. It takes years of mistakes to be so blunt about this type of thing...

I've also though about it before that Business's want to hire the people who do the best through their course, but if those people were using stims through uni then when they get into the job they will be able to focus less then the other people who weren't using the stims.

95% of why people get hired is because of their personality. The other 5% is made up of knowledge and ability to learn. Stimulants do not make you a better person in general, and often make the user short tempered and quick to judge. (This is a bad personality trait) Therefore I would suggest that you are absolutely correct about the disadvantages of using stims.

That stat is just made up, but I would not have a job without it...
