dayton,oh
i have been seriously (i mean almost every day) doing drugs for 3 yrs now. I decided to quit in late november and i havent touched anything since then. but i have been sick since then as well. i've had ear infections,stomache aches,runny and stuffy noes, and just felt puny. could this be from the excessive drug use??
~~~right befor i quit i was on a 5 day glass binge could this be a problem from it as well??
~!~!~!~please help!~!~!~
My advice :
If you've stayed clean this long, stay clean from now on...
The withdrawal, if thats what has manifested, will die down and disappear and you will be healthy.
I don't promote drug use, it's bad for you.
Seriously.
i am going to stay clean!! i knew i could do it..but i know there will be times that i wanna do it...but i really honestly believe i can do it. I CAN BE SOBER!
Could it be that you ran your immune system down, and now that you aint on the "dope" you can actully feel those things rather than covering up unpleasant feelings. Might be. Could be.... I wouldn't rule it out.
Meth will make your immune system weaken as will a lot of other drug's. Sleep is the body's natural healing device, when it gets to recover. Im guessing you werent doing much of that when tweeking for 5 days. I suggesst staying of the drugs go get yourself some Vitamine C and some sominex and stay in bed for a couple of days, you'll be fine.
babie... oh babie .. you know you want some more, just one more hit to get you through the day.. you quit a 3 year addiction so once more wont hurtcha... c'mon, DO SOME FUCKING DRUGS AND FEEL A BILLION TIMES BETTER!
Drugs = Natures Hugs
I agree with Porkchop -- I think your body was already rather run down but felt fine because you were high most of the time. Now that you are sober you can feel how shitty of a condition your body is in. Someone also made a good point about meth wearing down your immune system in general. You probably weren't eating enough and getting enough nutrients, and I doubt you were sleeping sufficiently. You need to eat well (REALLY well...lots of whole grains, veggies, fruit, and protein) and get lots of sleep, drink a lot of water, and try to exercise if you can muster the energy. Take care of yourself and devote yourself to getting better and you will improve steadily.
Props for quitting and good luck!
werd. after my last tweaking binge (5 days long--and WITHIN the last 24 hrs consuming over a fuckin 1/4 gram = $60 of good quality glass) ALL i did was SLEEP for 3 days straight. of course--i woke up every 2 hrs b/c my throat was so sore and dry that i had to drink 8-20 ounces of fluid in order to breathe/swallow--and to sleep for 2 hrs b4 repeating) and so i drank TONS of OJ. after 3 days my body felt better but yet my mind is like "GIMME FUCKIN DRUGS NOW BITCH!!!!!!!". *sigh* keep going on the path you're going. wish i could join you down that path. maybe someday. oh yeah--that immune system thing--YUP YUP. i used to NEVER get sick--now i find myself legitimately sick AT LEAST 1 day a week--and REALLY sick at least twice a month--and it takes me DAYS longer than it should, to feel better. nevermind that tylenol/advil will not releive headaches. but meth will. oooppss--look at me all off-topic n shit. no more talkin for me
I feel better today.....hey phree-x....why are you doing that to me? its hard enough as it is, poop on you...
a quitter never wins.
and a winner never quits.
we're all winners here in OD ville, babyboob.
now, for my good advice:
obviously you don't have a problem if you've quit since November.
one more time ain't gonna hurt you, baby.
show 'em you're stronger than the drug.
if that doesn't help, there might be someone in the darkside forum that wants to hear your "feelgood story of the new millenium".
congratulations on your sobriety. remember that it just keeps getting easier. withdrawls fade over time, immune systems recover, and the occasional craving may come back for a long time to come but beating the first few days/weeks/months is harder than the rest. stay sober, eat right, exercise. yeah, it's trite advice but it works. best of luck.
and to those of you so irresponsible as to encourage relapses ... so maybe this post belongs in the dark side or health Q& A and maybe instead of giving bad advice you should move it. Perhaps a greenlighter or an early bluelighter can be sufficiently lacking in judgement and give destructive advice but mods are supposed to be defending / protecting the "harm reduction" policy of the boards. Right, HypocritE?
DAMN some of you guys are mean....but thats ok i guess, those r your opinions, right? man fuck that.... wheres the drugs...i wanna bump
have u done drugs again? if u have, and if u are addicted again, then u are a weak, weak individual. I guess, the random doing of drugs wouldn't be so bad, but if u are addicted again after quitting for so long, then you're fucked up, you might as well od and die. think about this, this body is all u have. once u start to fuck it up, its like you are taking to a car with a baseball bat in a place where there are no mechanics or panel beaters, you would just have to drive around the place with dented doors and broken windows, thats like your body. don't fucking do that to yourself especially after quitting. its up to you really.
See, you finally came around and realized that you have been sober since NOVEMBER, good lord, that was like LAST YEAR... you have definitly cured yourself so you DESERVE a pat on the back, or a hug - and drugs are natures hugs! SO do that bump, wait, no, rail a gagger and sit back to celebrate your freedom from addiction!
We are here to support you!
