Drugs are very interesting me. I read about them almost as much as I do them. I like the artistic results they help produce: Burroughs, Philip K. Dick, Thomas Pynchon, 60s psychedelia, Charlie Parker, dub reggae, disco, acid house, Mark Rothko, ... I mean, it's harder to find things created without a drug involved (if you include nicotine and alcohol).

I like the idea that we are all cyborgs. If a cyborg is a part-human, part-machine, we've been cyborgs for thousands of years by using drugs (molecular machinery) to extend ourselves.

I've been regularly using opium (poppy tea / poppy seed tea) and kratom for the past five years. I cycle between them and never take opium on consecutive days. I don't have withdrawal symptoms if I stop for a few days, which I do about once a month.

In the past: alcohol, pot, mushrooms, DXM. I've used LSD seven times, crystal meth once, cocaine three times, oxycodone once, heroin never. I went through a weird phase of injecting adrenaline. I tripped on Dramamine once (never again, but I'm glad I did it).

Like I said, I mostly consider myself a drug voyeur and tend to be rather cautious when it comes to actual usage. It's supposed to accentuate life, not become it.

So I've just joined Bluelight, and this is my second post. I've read Bluelight for I don't know how many years and I think it is the most intelligent and ethical forum for drugs out there... responsible drug usage
