I'm sure I'm being utterly paranoid here. I was smoking a lot of cannabis most days, but I'm going to have a 5 day break and then fly to the US. I'm washing all my clothes during this 5 day break.

There is no way that the sniffer dogs are going to smell cannabis on me, right? And even if they do, given there's no trace of anything illicit whatsoever in my luggage with me, I'll be fine?

Paranoia is bad for the soul.

You will be fine. I imagine the dogs are more interested in bombs than bongs these days, or at least I would hope so. In any case if you don't have anything on you they can't do shit. You might not want to smoke right before you go to the airport. Then again I probably would . Relax

Well, I'm in another city from my home city now, I don't have anything on me, and I don't know off hand anyone who deals (though it's never hard to find someone here), so as long as I don't go looking I think I can stay illicit drug free until I leave. If I really feel the need to chill out between now and then there's beer and (prescribed-to-me) lorazepam.

Dogs will only detect drugs when they are instructed to do so. That is, passing by a sniffer dog does not ultimately mean you will be spotted.

Passive smoke can be a problem too, I got stopped having nothing but the dog went mad on my bag just because it was inside a room where I've smoked days before.

dogs at the airport i work at are trained to sniff for money to stop tax evasion and money crossing borders, which is an easy way to get at high levels of organised crime
