Okay so I've been lurking for a little and this is my first post.

I'm 18 and have somewhat recently started to experiment with various drugs.
So far(besides weed and alcohol) I've only used ecstasy, 2c-i, some benzos, and shrooms. (not going to be doing 2c-i or ecstasy again for a while, if at all)

Basically what I want to know is what are some fairly "safe" drugs to use, seeing as my brain is still in it's main developmental stages.

I'm pretty interested in all kinds of drugs, specifically phychs, opiates, and RCs... coke kinda seems like fun, and I can definitely handle myself. I just want to be careful with my body.

according to what I read if u develop an addiction to opiates before 25 ur brain will never fully recover. To what extent I don't know. It might be different age for some, some have fully developed brains earlier than 25, some later. But I do see people who got addicted in that frame having a lot harder time quitting as if the brain didn't fully get the good chemicals going before they were given or something like that.

If addiction would not be such an issue with those things then they are pretty safe toxicity wise.

I would highly recommend cocaine for recreational use. Cocaine will make you feel empowered, energized, and really important for 20-25 minutes. I also find that when I am on coke I am more alert and conscious of my being.

P.S Your eighteen, have fun, your entitled to experiment, but just be cautious (make sure you know the gear you are getting is legit) and always take drugs around mates who you feel comfortable around and that you trust

Yeah, I feel i can handle addiction, already got rid of cigs.
If anything, it'd be like a once a month thing.

I've used drugs all my life pretty much and at 27 don't see that there is much damage done to my body, if at all. I tried pretty much everything but research chemicals. Obviously drugs have their dangers but if u take all possible precautions it's possible u'll come out alright.

word. do you still do anything at all?

well being 18 is young thats when i started thinking its aall fine and dandy, im a cool recreational drug user eya!!!!!! nooo!! you will end up finding a drug that makes you feel like you really should for me it was opiates. started off saying oh yeah couple vics here and there. Then i would be raiding medicine cabinets , screwing up relationships, then i went through my shroom and acid phase musta done each twenty times. then back to opiates because i can funtion on them and do anything i want. Until you run out. and you dont want more you need more. Then you get caught in the fucked up cycle. its really hard to get out of it. Beware my friends. I saw steer clear of opiates all together if you can. I know u man think u can use once a month believe me you cant. The drug is just to damn evil and godly.

Don't listen to this bs, in fact, try doing something new instead of drugs, like learning a new sport, a musical instrument, anything!. I was 18 too, now I'm 21, not to much of a difference, but I've seen some friends fuck up their lives in such short amount of time courtesy of the white lady. Toke up, weed is good, but don't over do it. Everything else, feels amazing, but will eat your soul bit by bit until there is none of your old self.

P.s. Today it was the commemoratory event of my cousin who OD'd and died in Amsterdam a year ago... Heroin (and maybe coke) did the trick...

IMO psychedelics are probably "safest" when used in the moderation because they aren't very addictive. That said, I have definitely seen people who appear to have blown a fuse with psychs. Otherwise, all of the other drugs you mentioned are relatively safe for the brain and body but pose a serious risk of addiction. This is especially true for opiates, stimulants, and benzos. I see addiction as the biggest problem with drug use because it leads to other social and health problems such as malnutrition and involvement in dangerous situations.

If you are going to use drugs, the best thing to do is exercise, eat healthy food, maintain a vitamin regimen, and DON'T USE METH.

Meth fucks people up worse than anything. It is very neuro-toxic and makes you bat-shit crazy. Its a lot of fun, but very very pernicious.

good luck on your journey :)

Optimally you should be making a good life without the use of drugs.

Psychedelics are usually considered 100 % medically safe (at least on the tryptamine side) but they can do things to your mental constitution.

Opiates, alcohol and stimulants are the most addictive. Alcohol has a stable culture surrounding it, moderating use. But chances are if you're willing to stray away from that you're bound to use alcohol as you would any very addictive drug.

Cannabis is probably the most harmless all-round, and within this lies its main danger.

djzmo there is no need to write so heavy-handedly, it's not necessary. Can you read English or is it a second language to you? Because I warned the original poster that if they were going to take cocaine; be cautious! My opinion is not BS, I'm entitled to speak freely without narrow minded users, like yourself, refuting what I have to say. As consenting adults 18 years and over, we should ALL be free to live liberal lives, experiment, and for fucksakes take responsibility for our own actions instead of ALWAYS BLAMING DRUGS on life's pitfalls! Take note; "Death comes at you no matter what you do in this life, and to equate drugs with death is a facile comparison" (JG).

I must admit your brief post was somewhat amusing! Why would YOU single out a certain drug for being worse than another (in this case; cocaine), it just makes you sound uneducated and callow because in hindsight aren't ALL DRUGS SUPPOSE TO BE BAD? Feel free to warn people about the dangers of drugs, in this case the dangers of cocaine (and heroine), but I feel it necessary to remind you that the whole notion of "drugs" = "addiction" and "death" is not a new concept, and we've heard it all before.

P.S. Sorry for your loss. Your not the first and your certainly not going to be the last person to lose a loved one as a result of THEIR own drug abuse. I too have lost loved ones because THEY ABUSED DRUGS (of all kind), the drugs DID NOT ABUSE THEM. That is my opinion. Done.

Yes, in fact I got a personal problem with coke, someone really close to me is in hell due to coke abuse; besides, my country "exports" (euphemisms hehe) 36% of the whole world cocaine supply (Perú), thus we got extremely pure & cheap coke, making it easier for that person to abuse it. I've been around some cokeheads in my life and never liked their vibe, surely there are worst drugs like meth, on a personal level I think almost every potent stimulant is really pernicious to the self and to others.

You are entitled to your own opinion, but I don't think that recommending coke to anyone is a good idea. Just an opinion, like yours.

P.s. English as second language here, el español es mi lengua materna.

You should probably read this study then if you think you can handle addiction:

I would advise you not to use drugs at all. Focus on getting an education, building up credit, investing your money, and all those other important things that drugs tend to make difficult or nearly impossible to do. This is what I wished I had done. That once a month tends to quickly turn into once a week, and eventually becomes more frequent.

If you have to experiment, like I felt I had to years ago, always do your own independent research. Don't just accept everything you are told on forums like this as fact. Always double check what you are told, even what I'm telling you. Always start out small with your doses no matter what, especially if you try a new batch of a product. Keep in mind that many people on sites like this are still in their active addiction so they will reason away anything that they do, no matter how harmful. They will always come up with what to them seems to be a reasonable excuse. This always happens, but unfortunately people can't see that they are doing this until a lot of time goes by and a lot of damage has already occurred. Some never realize this at all. There aren't really any "safe" drugs because all drugs can become a huge problem for people.

You end up thinking "That bad stuff happens to other people because they don't know what they're doing and I do. That stuff won't happen to me." Then that stuff ends up happening to you.

Ultimately it is your choice, but you might want to read through "The Dark Side" to see the other side of drug use. I wish I had known about BL when I was still using so I could read through the Dark Side. I probably wouldn't have taken the risk of experimenting and I'd be having a much easier time in my life right now. You need to realize that, if you take that step and begin to experiment with drugs, even if it's very infrequently, there is always the chance that something terrible could happen to you, no matter how informed you think you are about safer drug use.

Nitrous is good and pretty harmless as is GHB/GBL (as long as you keep the dosage low and don't mix with other depressants).

Get into a good exercise regieme and a good diet, take some vitimans and perhaps some smart drugs and you should reduce a bit of the damage recreational drug use causes.
