I
she smiled, i smiled
we walked, to silver screens
of years gone
in the dark, we sat
whispers
of scent-filled breath,
teasing i inhale,
unseeing
out of the dark, we walked
a drink, she said, to warm us up
II
a simple lock, petal engraved
brass dangled waiting
for a key, to the vault,
of pleasures withheld
layers of bite
accumulates
my green apple
martini agreed
across a cloud
we shared a martini,
lips engaged
who needs a glass?
blood rushes, head swims
sex engorged
we grappled, we loved
lips engaged
tongues lost
III
confused, confounded, disturbed
i thought i knew, but
my heart spoke different
bodies entwined, reciprocate
i thought i knew, but
heart screaming
body traitorous
no
where
no
steps
cornered
trapped
heart beating
silent drowning
martini

vurt, your rich vein of form continues...
I love how your lines, so short, capture so much of memory, feeling, thought, pleasure, sense. :)

colicolo, I recommend doing a search for all of vurt's work in Words - it's definitely worth your time.

:-)

Oh dear, no doubt you found some of my dodgy old poems! :\
