Remember in the beginning of "The Empire Strikes B
in the background, a two-step beat
reminds me who my friends are.
Shitty pop songs with no real meesage
that got stale real quickly
are all that remind me of you.
As the beat continues, I slowly loosen my grip upon
you, thus freeing me from the mental state on which
you held me for so long without any reciprocation.
So, I'll just dance, something you never did with me,
with another who has the desire and the passion
to let a kindred soul into their world
without hesitation or relecutancy.
This two-step gets tricky on me,
and I listen for the build-up,
like the build-up you and I planned,
but ended in some sort of twisted
display of anger and dissapointment.
I wait for the drop,
and as the crowd roars,
you drop off my radar,
and I dance like a man freed,
freed from a prison that was disguised as love.
